“Huge Beautiful Rooms”

From the kiva fireplace to the oversized jacuzzi spa you will find yourself being delighted. The rooms are heated via their tile floors, there is a small bar area and fridge and the layout of the inn is uncomplicated and serene.

Breakfast is large and delicious and you'll have the added treat of watching the multitude of birds flocking to the feeders outside the dining area. Or maybe you'll meet George the resident peacock...

This was probably our fifth stay with Charles and LeAn. This time we spent a week in the Gallery Pinon. It was a wonderful stay. The breakfasts were delicious and Charles went above and beyond to make us welcome. We feel like family! The room was always immaculate. Susannah even sings while she works! The innkeepers always have good tips on what to see and where to eat. Taos is a regular destination for us and we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

Room Tip: Gallery rooms as quieter than the jacuzzi rooms.

Three couples of long time friends stayed at the American Artists Gallery B & B Aug. 20-25, 2011. We've stayed at this B & B before over the years. Charles and Le Ann are very gracious and comfortable hosts who make us feel as if we're visiting friends and staying at their home. The gourmet breakfasts are to die for!. The location is very close to the Taos town square where the art galleries and great shopping are located. We stayed in the three units that had a Jacuzzi-lots of room and comfortable beds. Chocolate treats every night on the nightstand-nice touch. They've been at the same location 18 years so they know the town and attractions-ask them if you want to explore. Lovely and relaxing holiday-we'll be back! Pam Welborn

My stay at The American Artists Gallery House was a perfect choice for it satisfied my desire to blend into the Taos lifestyle for a 3 night stay. From the time I arrived, I felt at home here and found Gallery Pinon 'casita' very enviting with a kiva fireplace and Southwestern style decor. This location was extremely convienent to everything this wonderful town has to offer! I did not hear any traffic noises at all and the view was breathtaking of the Taos Mts. The breakfast was wonderful and the local variety of birds of many kinds serenated us as we shared stories around the main house table. If you are looking for a laid back atmosphere with excellent ambiance and accomodations, you have found the right place!!! This is what one looks for in a very comfortable bed and breakfast stay. The peacock George was facinating and added an exotic dimension to this lovely property!!! I would reccommend this property to down to earth travellers wondering into Taos NM and this place rocks!!!

Room Tip: Newer rooms w/jacuzzis are very modern.

I had business in Taos that weekend, and brought my out of state friend for her first trip to Taos. I live in Santa Fe and have tried different b&bs over the years, but this was all I could find on this weekend. Room was OK in a dated New Mexican kind of way, you could hear the TV in the next room, and the touted art is pretty sorry tourist dreck. The patio outside the room had broken pavers and borders, and the bancos were decorated with bird poop from their giant pet peacock. It's one thing to be entertained by an exotic bird while you're sitting out in the afternoon, but it turned out the bird roosted near our room and it started screaming at about 3 in the morning and kept at it the rest of the night, making it impossible to stay asleep. I had to meet with customers the next day, and was cranky and sleepy. We mentioned it to the owners, but they had no comment or apology. She's very nice, he was a little cranky, they did give us cold drinks when we got there (as long as you don't mind a giant bird in your face) and cupcakes the next day. Breakfast is better than average, the problem was the hot entrees were cold 2 mornings in a row and kind of unappetizing because of it. Apparently the rooms at the west end of the property are nicer and no one had heard the bird, but everyone at our end heard it. This property was probably almost rural at one time, but it's off a commercial area on the main drag now and traffic noise went on all night. I think they should decide if they're running a petting zoo or a hotel.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Le-An and Charles are great hosts and very accommodating as we had our pet Cockatiel with us.who also enjoyed his stay.

Situated down the end of the road which is very quiet.
Room was very comfortable and nicely decorated with a very comfy bed.
Breakfast is a real treat and delicious, a must to experience. Also a 24 hour cold drinks and cookies available which is wonderful if one needs a cookie fix.
George the peacock is quite entertaining and great to have wandering around.

Would defiantly come back back

I am pleased to report that the American Artists Gallery House Bed & Breakfast represents an outstanding destination for those traveling through Taos. The level of hospitality, the cleanliness, and the absolutely fantastic breakfasts went beyond any and all expectations. The hosts, Charlie and Sue Ann, were knowledgable, considerate, and well attuned to the needs of their guests.

I plan to stay at this Bed & Breakfast every and any time I find myself in Taos, New Mexico
