My wife and I went to the Casitas for a weekend of quiet and relaxation. Our stay was wonderful. The place was recommended by some frequent travelers to Taos. Location was great could walk anywhere we wanted to go. Priced great for the area.Thank you Jim and Nancy.

We were looking for a room for 2 nights and found all the motels to be too far away from the center. Decided a VRBO option might be better. Ran across Burch Street Casitas and the property has been great. Clean, a 15 minute walk to town, and just what we needed after 3 days on the road.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Casitas while skiing at the Taos Ski Valley this past Christmas. Our stay here could not have been better. The location was fantastic, the price was very reasonable, and the casita itself was exactly what we needed. It was very clean and well-equipped. Jim and Nancy were great and helpful. This could not have been a better experience!

My husband and I (plus our two Cavaliers) love to come here! Our last visit was in March of 2012 and we had another wonderful stay. I can't say enough good about the Burch street Casitas. The owners have always been super great and very nice. I read the one bad review and I have to say those people had a problem! There is no way that Jim or Nancy would have been anything but great. The casitas are always clean and new looking! The area around the casitas is beautiful too. This is our very most favorite place to stay--and we come to Taos often!

My husband and I traveled during spring break to do some skiing/snowboarding, as well as sightseeing. What an amazing trip, a week was definitely not long enough. After reading other reviews and finding a lack of hotels, we decided to book the Burch Street Casita, we could not have been more pleased! Sorry it's been a while, but i will try to provide as much info as possible.

We were greeted by Jim who showed provided us with information regarding shopping and dining and answered any questions that we had. The casita has everything that two people would need; ample storage for gear, sitting area, kiva, kitchen area, sleeping area and bathroom. There is also a great patio where you can enjoy a warm afternoon with a beer after a day on the mountain! The location is also great, you can easily walk to town for shopping and dining and there is a grocery store close by. There is also plenty of room for parking. Firewood is provided so you don't need to worry about finding it in town.

Our favorite place in town was Eke's Brew Pub. It was recommended to us by friends and they were right, it was a fantastic gem! The food was great and the beer was awesome! Although we did not eat at the Taos in, we did enjoy a margarita which I think is a must when visiting Taos. We also ordered take out from Orlando's at the recommendation of other friends, which was another gem. We went grocery shopping Cid's, the organic market in town but later found that Smith's actually has a pretty good organic section and we could have done all of our shopping there since were were stocking up for a week and Cid's was quite expensive.

Since it was spring, the skiing/snowboarding was a little slushy but it was fun to be on the mountain with the sun and warm weather, not to mention it was not crowded at all! The drive from the casita was approximately 30 minutes and very scenic. So, it wasn't ski/in ski/out but that was fine since wanted to be in town.

Aside from skiing, there are so many things to do in Taos. It's definitely worth taking some time to explore. We attended mass on Sunday at San Francisco de Asis and would highly recommend if you are Catholic and visiting. The church is beautiful and the music was fantastic! We also ventured to El Santuario de Chimayo which was definitely worth the drive. We took the High Road to Taos home which was a long and beautiful drive. We headed to Ojo Caliente one day for spa treatments after a few days on the mountain. It was a great experience and again another scenic drive. You can stop at the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge on your way back and snap some photos.

This was a great trip and we will definitely stay at the casitas again if we travel to Taos in the future. It had everything we were looking for and the value was excellent!
