“Delicious chile relleno”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2013

Sitting at a patio table listening to the water fountain and live music on a summer evening with a friendly waiter and delicious food was a wonderful experience. The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. We split an appetizer of crab cakes that were huge. Many levels of flavors from the sauce. The same with the chile relleno - it was elevated by the cream sauce and pomengranete seeds. The affordable wine list was much appreciated. I can't wait to go back the next time I visit Taos. Great location just behind the plaza with a large parking lot.

“Tableside guacamole is magic”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

We loved watching them make tableside guacamole and also the musician playing guitar and singing old Willie Nelson songs on the patio. The carne adovada and the chicken mole were both very good dishes with generous portions and sides. We had enough left over to have lunch the next day, and the guacamole even held. The people watching on this patio is some of the best in Taos, as you see both tourists and locals enjoying the food and drinks. The guitar man took requests and that added to the fun. We sat on the upper balcony of the patio and had a great view and a great dinner.

“The smiles go miles.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2013

Lunch on the patio on a warm summer day is what Taos is all about. The hostess was cordial. The waiter attentive. The barman eager to please. Overall, it was a perfect experience. Our portions were overly generous. The frozen sangria a tasty novelty. The beer presented for a tasting before ordering any one of several local breweries. We had unique signature dishes that you can't find everywhere in New Mexico. A lovely afternoon.

“A Great First Lunch in Taos”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2013

I have skimmed the reviews and have to add my name to the list of satisfied customers. Our server was prompt and attentive, yet not overbearing. My wife spied the tableside Guacamole cart and suggested we start with that, which we did and thoroughly enjoyed. I cannot imagine why this is not done at other Mexican restaurants. It was a great treat, especially for somebody like me who needs the onions left out. I had the traditional cheese chili rellenos and my wife the pork tacos. They were both excellent. I am not saying they were the best ever, but they were delicious. The cool breeze on the courtyard was a treat even though it was high noon in August. We were too full for dessert, but our waiter convinced us to share one. We chose the flan and it WAS perhaps the best I have ever tasted, and the presentation was equal to that in any fine restaurant anywhere. Our plan is to eat our way across Taos and sample the fare in a number of places. That being said, as we were walking away, we were discussing coming back for dinner.
