“Fabulous!”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

This restaurant was recommended to us by a lady at the Rio Grande Gorge Visitor Center who said it was her favorite place to eat. My husband had the crab tacos and I had the cheese enchiladas with black bean sauce and both were excellent. Therese was a lovely hostess and server, and went out of her way to meet my husband's needs as a disabled adult. We would definitely recommend this restaurant with regard to the food and the hospitality. Thanks, Therese.

“My new favorite restaurant”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

A warm welcome from Benina set the stage for a delightful evening. With backup help from Lupe the service she provided was friendly and efficient. The staff understands the meaning of hospitality.

My husband had beef enchiladas and I had seafood enchiladas, and the food was fresh, tasty, well seasoned and beautifully presented. Located right in the center of town behind the plaza, it's convenient for us and we look forward to many more visits.

“Chile Rellenos en nogados a delicious surprise in Taos”
Reviewed November 14, 2012 via mobile

Road scholars took guide Alan's suggestion for our lunch. This guide really knew his stuff. Having lived in Mexico, I know that Chiles Rellenos en Nogada, is a Dia de Independencia dish and sometimes a Fiesta Navidad dish. Not easy to find. Alan promised that we could request this favorite. It was as good as any I ever had. Wonderful, with just the perfect flavors. This not a hot or picante dish. Instead it is richly flavored ground beef with raisins and other traditional flavors. The tortilla soup also really lived up to our standards.
Service was remarkable considering about 25 of us showed up at the same time. Service was great. Food was outstanding. Owners on the premises just one more plus. Enjoy.

We ate here both nights of our stay in Taos. The chef creates meals that are take aways from his personal Spanish heritage. So good the first night, we did not want to find another spot!

“Lovely”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

There's a good deal of mediocre "Mexican" and/or "New Mexican" in this area. However, the food at Antonio's was well-executed and tasty.
But it was the service we received from Therese and other members of the staff that really left us determined to return.
The location is convenient and pleasant. The food is a step above "solid" and several steps above many of the area restaurants. But the character of the place is the most compelling aspect.
