If you are visiting Taos and want to go fishing nearby, this is a great place for information and to get your questions answered. Emily was friendly, patient, and helpful. Feels like we made a friend!

Took a guided trip with Ron to the Los Pinos and Rio Hondo. We had a great time and caught fish. Ron was so helpful and patient for us beginners, now we are inspired to pursue fly fishing back at home in North Georgia. Emily in the shop was delightful to work with as well. If we come back (no WHEN we come back :-) to Taos we'll definitely use this outfitter again.

We tried Dos Amigos, but they simply weren't open when their website said they would be, so we luckily found the Taos Fly shop. We didn't need a guide, just some info and gear. The man there was super nice and told us just where to go and what to use. So over the top friendly, we needed to write a review. We'd come back here in a heart beat.

The staff was relaxed and patient with newbies. Very friendly and we caught fish! A good combination of demonstration and hands-on learning techniques.

I highly recommend Taos Fly Shop for your fly fishing needs or guided trips throughout Northern New Mexico. I've been able to fish all over New Mexico and Colorado, and our guide, Ron Sedall, was one of the most knowledgeable and patient I've ever had. My wife had never thrown a fly, and Ron had her casting and catching fish in the first five minutes. Better yet, the spot he took us was incredible and we caught tons of Cutthroat Trout. Great shop. Great river. Better guide.
