We have eaten several times over the years at the Alley Cantina, food was always good as I remember because we keep going back, never left a review until this trip. We stayed in Taos for a get away after the loss of our best friend our doggy. We were within walking distance to the Cantina which was good as we needed to drown our sorrows. Our bartender I believe his name was Mark was really understanding as he too rememberd his loss 3 yrs ago. All in all he gave us great drinks great service and made us feel special, the place was hoppin Friday evening which raised our spirits. Thanks to Mark and the Alley cantina We'll be back!

Cute restaurant, good food. Service was a bit lax, but the food made up for it. Fairly extensive menu items for the picky eater, too!

Good late night live entertainment. Thier specialty, fish and chips, was a total failure. Good bar with lots of locals.

Ruth and Buzz have created a legendary bar and grill. The food is quite good, but the happy hour is phenomenal. Locals flock there at 5 pm until 7 pm to enjoy half price drinks, and the late night dancers show up at 9:30 or so to enjoy some of the best music in New Mexico. Tuesday nights are special with the Monkey Feeders. They rock.

This place is more like a bar that serves food, rather than a restaurant that happens to have a bar. However, it is a very pleasant casual environment to be in. There is a small outdoor patio which is nice. The inside room is centered around the bar area. There is also a game room that has tables in it.

The restaurant is a few steps off the main Taos square.

They do not provide the usual complimentary chips that Mexican restaurants usually provide. We ordered nachos and drinks. The nachos were good, they were made with blue and yellow chips and red onions (never had red onions in my nachos before). The tart margaritas seemed small...they were served in small brandy decanter-like glasses (what's the matter with using classic margarita glasses? It would be much more festive!)

Even though it seemed like a bar serving food, the menu was quite complete with various selections.
