This place is more like a bar that serves food, rather than a restaurant that happens to have a bar. However, it is a very pleasant casual environment to be in. There is a small outdoor patio which is nice. The inside room is centered around the bar area. There is also a game room that has tables in it.
The restaurant is a few steps off the main Taos square.
They do not provide the usual complimentary chips that Mexican restaurants usually provide. We ordered nachos and drinks. The nachos were good, they were made with blue and yellow chips and red onions (never had red onions in my nachos before). The tart margaritas seemed small...they were served in small brandy decanter-like glasses (what's the matter with using classic margarita glasses? It would be much more festive!)
Even though it seemed like a bar serving food, the menu was quite complete with various selections.
