Situated on a beautiful pedestrianized street filled with lovely shops, the Bent Street Deli is a good place to stop for lunch after browsing through the many stores. There is patio, veranda and inside seating to choose from depending on the weather. The menu is large with everything from main meals to sandwiches and snacks. My husband opted for the build your own sandwich and it was huge - enough meat to feed two!! Feeling less hungry I opted for the fruit and yoghurt salad which was lovely and refreshing.
Note: Parking is on street behind the deli and there is a small charge for this (as with most places in Taos).

My wife and I drove to Taos for a day trip and after unsuccessfully attempting to locate another eating establishment, we stumbled across the Bent Street Deli & Cafe. The ice tea was quick to refresh and the chicken tamales satisfied this local New Mexican's chile cravings. Oh and did I mention the guacamole was really great, too? Anyway, if you find yourself on Bent Street in Taos, make it a point to stop here. You will not be disappointed.

Four of us had a late lunch here and each couple decided to share a sandwich each. One couple had the lox and bagel and the other (us) had turkey, with cream cheese, chutney and sprouts. We chose the latter as it was unusual, given the cream cheese. First, for a normal lunch hour, each of the dishes would have been perfect for one, but the waiter was very happy to split the sandwiches, and served each half on it's own plate with the accompanying tortilla chips. Our sandwich was very good, and the cream cheese (thinly layered) was a excellent addition to the turkey and chutney. The bread was homemade somewhere as it was very good. Our friends who had the lox and bagel said it was very good also.

We ate breakfast here on a recent visit to Taos. We were familiar with the cafe from lunches on other trips, but this was the first time for us to try breakfast. It was very good, as was the service. This is a nice cafe in a pleasant location in Taos. It is probably a better choice for adults than for people travelling with children.

Hearty portions but not heavy; enjoyed teh quiche and Caprese salad. Great Bent St. location for people watching and nice shops nearby.
