... that was my draw.. even if they tasted like frozen ready made blintzes. Coffee was good. Cozy dining. Would repeat my business.

Drove all over the state...ate in lots of family owned places. All overrated and under par...until Michael's in Taos. As if I asked my grandma to cook a special lunch for me...that's how tasty it was! Could not leave any leftovers. The bread? Ethiopian Enjera has always been my favorite until i had Michael's...

Being in the southwest, we ordered blue-corn piñon pancakes and a breakfast burrito. Both were flavorful and filling. Our waitress was very attentive despite it being a busy Saturday morning. One got the feeling that this place is packed most mornings. The setting was cozy and interesting, with many old-looking items in the decor.

Loved walking to Michael's & enjoyed much of the scenery while having breakfast. We got traditional Southwest choices - huevos rancheros & an omelet. The coffee & breakfast were fine. We visited the bakery, got a cream puff (original recipe from 50 or 60 years ago) & it was out of sight! Do yourself a favor & splurge on the calories for the cream puff. Tastes great & really pretty, too!

We were staying across the street at the Worldmark so we walked over to Michael's for breakfast. Fast service, nice variety on the menu, our waitress made helpful suggestions about modifications for the kids in our party, and the green chilli on my meal was very well done (not the overcooked mush that sometimes sneaks on to breakfast plates.) We all received way more food than we could eat and it was a great start for our day on the slopes of Angel Fire.
