The food was very good with a mix of southwestern dishes and classics, steaks and hamburgers. Green chili stew was excellent.

“Wonderful Dining! Five Stars.”
Reviewed April 13, 2014

Taos' premier tradition!
Terrific range of cuisine, including local game like elk, buffalo, quail, trout. Fine service and portions. Arrive hungry. Classic 1900 location in the Taos Inn (look for parking behind). Live music in the pub every night.

“Great service and food makes the dining experience satisfying”
Reviewed April 10, 2014

Looking for a restaurant that would satisfy six kids and three adults, we decided on Doc Martin's next to the historic Taos Inn. Worried that it could be expensive and not meet the kids food expectations, we were pleasantly surprised by the menu selections and more importantly our server, Subra Duncan. He provided great insight to the menu selections especially for the kids. His superior knowledge on margaritas provided us with good libations for the adults while kids enjoyed great chips and salsa. Being a lover of spicy foods, I cannot remember the exact name but I recommend a cup of their spicy chili/tortilla soup. I then had the BBQ Pork Ribs which I was able to literally lick them off the bone. Blue corn enchiladas and burgers were also really good. This is a great dining experience with family or as a romantic dinner for two. If you have a wait, have a cocktail at the Adobe Bar inside the Taos Inn. Take pictures, see artwork and listen to music in the lobby of the Taos Inn for a great evening in Taos. If your lucky, maybe you'll see a ghost as well!

“Good meal at 5pm”
Reviewed March 8, 2014

We were about to leave Taos and wanted to go somewhere for dinner. I heard about Doc Martin's in a magazine that gave it good reviews. We got there right at 5pm when they were just opening and were sat immediately.

The restaurant sits in a historic building in the center of town and had a very cool authentic feel to it.

Our server was friendly and attentive and took good care of us. The food was very tasty (I had the scallop appetizer and the ribs for dinner, my partner had a sautéed shrimp entree.

The prices were a bit high for what you got and the menu seemed a little limited as there weren't a lot of entrees that interested me even though I am not picky. A good place to make a stop while in Taos, NM
