Description: Doc Martin's Restaurant is an acclaimed dining establishment located in a registered historic landmark. A Taos tradition for locals and visitors alike, the warm ambiance of Doc's has been a gathering place since the 1920s and 30s. Our menu is a presentation of New American and Northern New Mexican cuisine, specializing in fresh organic foods from the Southwest. Known for its incredible value and vast selections from old to new world, our wine list has earned Wine Spectator's "Best Of" Award of Excellence for twenty-nine consecutive years.

Had dinner at Doc Martin's last week after a long day fishing trip. We were starving after being outdoors in the cold. The chile rellenos were first class as usual--deep friend with a golden crust. The buffalo burger with sweet potato fries hit the spot--almost too much to eat even given my huge appetite. Wine selection is ok, but the bartender was careful to make the martinis and margaritas just right. Entertainment had the lounge area packed as it often is. In sum: very festive, solid food and plenty to eat!

Went for both lunch and dinner and had Mexican food both times; however, the menu is broader. The chili rellenos are especially good. I thought the prices were low for the amount of food served.

Great late breakfasts (opens at 11am on weekdays, which is strange for hotel restaurant). There are breakfast items on weekday lunch menu, breakfast burritos with great green chile. Weekend brunch with extended breakfast items. Blue corn blueberry with berry butter and real maple syrup are awesome. Lunch and dinner are very good too. The goat cheese green chile relleno is delicious. Nightly live music in the adobe bar next door in a rustic local atmosphere. My number one choice for breakfast in Taos.

Very informal, friendly service, music in the next room. Portions were generous and quality good. Liked the nachos.
