Description: Lambert's of Taos is a family-owned full service, upscale establishment serving Contemporary American cuisine with northern New Mexican influences in an elegant but relaxed setting. We are one of the few establishments in town that serves cocktails in addition to beer and wine. Upstairs we have the Treehouse Bar and Lounge for those not in the mood for linen tablecloths and looking for a cool, classy, and eclectic hangout with well-versed bartenders and inviting prices. During our Happy Hour (2:30 - 6:00), everything on our Happy Hour menu is $6.

This place is probably great for meat eaters, but their vegetarian options are terrible. The waiter recommended a mushroom appetizer, which was bland (and had to be sent back for HIGH salt content the first time). For a high end restaurant, they need a chef with more imagination.

This is a high end (expensive) restaurant - but great service, wine and - most importantly, food. The setting is relaxing in this adobe style restaurant - with multiple small rooms. This was the best meal in Albuquerque, Taos and Santa Fe!

This is the best meal in Taos. Yes, it is a bit pricey for Taos, but worth it! The food is refined and wonderful. The new space on Bent St. is the coolest in town and service is always pro! If you just want to try it out and not spend a lot on a full meal, hang out in the upstairs bar and order off of the bar menu...very affordable. Whatever you do, don't forget to start out with the House Manhattan...BooYa!

Two of us dined here on a Thursday evening. Our waiter was pleasant enough, but he was rude in a couple of instances (to be related later). I ordered the muscles for my dinner (it's actually on the appetizer section of the menu). They were not served in a broth, like you get in most restaurants; they were served in a kind of sauce that I can't really say what it was. They weren't wonderful. My husband ordered a fillet that was served with a sauce. He loved his steak. When the waiter--an older, but not wiser man--took my husband's plate away, the waiter made comments about the clean-plate club--even though there were still two or three bites of food left on the plate! Then the waiter made a couple of comments because we had finished off a bottle of wine that we'd bought to go with our dinner! I actually think that the waiter had had a couple of drinks of his own. Dessert was a coffee ice cream served with a chocolate cookie...the ice cream was good. The "cookie" was inedible.

After a warm hostess welcome and hand-off to our server, Aaron, we enjoyed a delicious lunch in Lambert's lovely, parasol-shaded patio. Two of our party savored 'chicken/mango enchiladas' (a house specialty...mmm!); I chose the day's special, 'chicken and porcini risotto', delicious, perfectly prepared and in just the right size portion (to allow me to comfortably sample my wife's tasty enchilada :)... Lambert's recent relocation to the heart of Taos, NM, is ideal for tourists and 'gallery-hoppers' in this unique and arty western town. We skipped dessert today, but the mixed berry cobbler almost lured me to 'break training'. This is the place to lunch for locals and day-trippers to Taos. Oh, our lunch (for 4) was under $60. ..real value!
