“Great view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2014

Very nice spot on the Rio Grande, close to Taos. Worth to go or stop when you passing by. View from the bridge is great, but if you want to take a nice picture of the bridge, park on the rest area on the west side of the river. There is a hiking trail heading north, following the gorge. Be careful with kids! Afternoon provides good lighting for photos.

“Come visit this hidden gem. Quick trip and excellent hiking. We went to the Slide Trail - pretty easy and picturesque.”

Not a lot to deal with traffic wise if you go early. Lots of venders selling things there. Avoid them and go early before they get all set up. Visit with the "Silver Lady" of the area. She has good stuff and is honest.

“Rio Grande Gorge Bridge”

Very scenic view. Also lots of local vendors selling their wares much cheaper then downtown. If you look closely you can see the mountain goats along the cliffs.

Royal Gorge Bridge is a short drive west of town and worth the drive to walk on the bridge and stand over the Rio Grande river

“Awesome sights, great photo op.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2014 via mobile

Today, we were not only blessed to see such a great sight, the view from the bridge. But we also watched a great thunder storm move across the high desert onto the gorge. We didn't stay long but long enough to get a great photo.
