“Cheap Thrill”
Reviewed May 9, 2014

Walking the span made me weak in the knees, but I felt safe. Scary but exhilarating. There are many vendors peddling their stuff, don't expect bargains.

The view was spectacular. So glad we went. The river flowing through the gorge was a beautiful sight not to be missed.

“Wow”

A short drive out of town brings you to the bridge over the gorge. We walked out onto the middle of the bridge, although it was a bit nerve wracking especially for one in our group who was not crazy about heights. Very impressive view of the Rio Grande below.

“The Bridge stop at Rio Grande Gorge”
Reviewed May 7, 2014

Amazing views, Some vendors and a flat trail that goes as far as you want to go. Worth the drive, but just a short visit. Rafting the gorge would have been fun.

“Terrific Overlook”
Reviewed May 3, 2014

For a great view of a stark, but remarkable landscape, drive to the west side of the bridge and park.
There's a picnic area there and one can walk back over the bridge. There are little balconies along the way on either side that afford a better vantage point. There's not much to do there except look and move on.
