A wonderful sight, especially for travellers who aren't mobile enough to hike. Gives a sense of the geographical history of the Rio Grande.

Taos is a lovely place to visit, the round trip from Santa Fe is beautiful both ways. You really must carry on and visit the gorge and bridge - the view is breathtaking. It is in the middle of nowhere and this makes it even more unbelievable when you arrive. It is totally unspoilt and not touristy at all - just incredible. And it's free!

At one end of the bridge there is a parking area with picnic tables and toilets, but these were closed on the day we visited because there was no electricity. Not much shade either on a very hot day but it really is a must see and there are plenty of lovely places to eat and drink back in Taos.

Worth the short drive out of Taos to see this overlook. Walk out on the bridge and see fantastic views of the gorge and surrounding landscape. We went in the evening when the clouds were rolling in. Great photo opportunity. You don't need a lot of time to visit this site, but it is definitely worth the visit.

We didn't stop the first time we came through 4 years ago and I always regretted it. Had another opportunity and I'm so glad we stopped. It's cool!

Worth a stop if you are near Taos. Parking right by the gorge and a short walk to the center of the bridge overlook to see a fabulous site. Take a camera and you will come home with an awesome photo.
