Beautiful view from atop this very high bridge that spans the Rio Grande Gorge. We took the dirt road through the National Park property that travels along the rim of the gorge. It is a scary ride but well worth it for the vistas.

“Beautiful!”

The view is worth a short trip there, although if you have a fear of heights you may miss the best views.

“Engineering Delight”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

My husband is a retired civil engineer, and he insisted that we drive out to see this bridge. We enjoyed walking into the middle of the bridge (on the sidewalk) even though the wind was blowing fiercely. Must see if you like bridges. MoJo - Texas Travelers

“Scared of heights?”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Then you may not want to go here. It was pretty cool to see such a deep gorge in what looks like just a flat part of the desert. It's one of those attractions that you go to just to say you saw it. 20-30 min drive from Taos, walk out to the middle of the bridge and snap a few pic's and be on your way.
