We had a studio room with a Murphy bed. Just right for 2--even with a balcony. Nicely decorated and all the amenities. Best of all, it was located within the Historic District. Restaurants, museums, art galleries, Kit Carson Park and the Taos Art Museum are right outside the door.

WorldMark is a beautiful, well-maintained, clean, modern time-share that also has rooms to rent on a daily basis. Its location is perfect, easy walking distance to the square. Most of the daily rental rooms have pull-down Murphy beds. Two complaints: 1. There is free WiFi for only two devices, so we had to pick two of the four devices we travel with. 2. The Murphy bed mattress was uncomfortable and sagged toward the middle. When we checked out, the clerk said they were going to replace all the mattresses in January, and some of them (10 out of 30) had memory foam mattresses. If we had known that ahead of time, we could have requested one.

In the center of old town Taos you will find this property tucked in behind the Taos Art Museum making it a quiet oasis away from the busy and noisy main street. It is located a quarter of a mile or a 7 min walk to the Plaza. You can park your car and not have to worry about finding parking for all the galleries and restaurants that are nearby. The lobby is stunning and the front porch with its rocking chairs is a lovely place to sit and read. The staff is extremely helpful with recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The studio room we had was pretty typical motel, clean and with a nice kitchenette. They would be more attractive if the decor was more southwestern. Why they have murphy beds is a mystery. We left our's down and had as much room as would be found in most typical motel/hotel rooms. The bed was ok but every time you moved the frame made horrible noises. Although we found the room very clean the one place they probably don't clean very often is the area right behind the bed where it folds up. Each time a pillow fell it that area it came back up with something on it.
We did not use the pool but it looked very clean. We would certainly not hesitate to go back.
The only negative we encountered was the confirmation email we received which told us to call ahead to make sure there was someone there to give us a key.The number we called was on the email and on their website and was probably a corporate number. They had no idea what we were taking about or anything about a place in Taos. After convincing them that we were only doing what was on the confirmation they took the time to discover there was indeed a Taos and they gave us the local number. No problems with the Taos check in as it is manned 24/7.

We rented a one bedroom with a Murphy bed for a week. The unit could use some more seating, as a family of four, it seems someone is always on the floor or we have to keep the Murphy bed down as a place to sit. The unit is clean and organized. A little dark, but the little patio is a nice touch with a decent view. It's a definite drawback that there is no real kitchen in the unit, although a community kitchen is available. Makes for getting creative with meals and leftovers. The pool and hot tub are quite nice. They have a nice fitness center, a neat community living room, and a nice library for families. Overall this place is quite nice. Would recommend it.

What a wonderful setting in the middle of Taos NM. This is a small quiet resort tucked away just off the main drag. Easy walking to all galleries and restaurants. Taos traffic can be a nightmare ...so this is a real plus. The lobby is a large southwest living room with a fireplace. Stunning. My room was just the right size with all the amenities. The quiet patio over a small well manicured garden was a calming plus. Heated pool..hot tub..fitness center ..pool table... i really felt like I had a special getaway here in a town I love. Highly recommend if you are craving a slow paced quiet getaway with a alot of southwest flair.
