“Some good, some bad”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2009

We had read mixed reviews and that was our experience. Although we had a reservation, we had to wait 20 minutes for a table. It's a tiny space and with a dinner party of 14 nearby the sound was overwhelming. Our salad was ordinary. I enjoyed my rainbow trout, but my husband's chicken was dry. Our waitress was flying. However, I would try it again as it has great promise.

“Expected a bit more”

Good food, but not that much of it! Stay away from the smoked trout salad....very salty and something you could find packaged. Lovely hostess, very busy waitress. Very small space.

“Love at the Apple”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2009

Our favorite restaurant in Taos is the Love Apple. The charming former church is spare in design, but rich in local food selections. The short menu has many delicious selections and from appetizers to desserts, local fresh food reigns. We always take friends when they visit and we try to get there for dinner once every six weeks or so. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed.

“Superb Epicurean Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2009

We had an absolutely amazing dining experience last night at the Love Apple! Muchos kudos to the chef, wait staff, and Jenn! We ended up being the last to leave having dined on delicious desserts, sumptuous entrees including tasty bison burgers, and a unique organic antipasto! We sat at the elevated, large, candlelit table at the back of the restaurant under the mirror. Might have once been an altar, or small stage...an intoxicating ambience. The menu was fantastic! And you must try the Scottish Brew Dog Punk IPA which, I admit, rivals Stone Brewing's Ruination. We'll be back soon to try another one of those fresh, flavoriscious dishes!

“Charm coupled with Organic Uniqueness”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2009

This charming local restaurant is located in a very old historic church. The homemade corn tortilla's are great - just wish they gave you more of them! I had the beef taco's (recommended by a local) and was not disappointed. They brought a new elegance to this simple dish! A great little treasure in a town worth visiting.
