“A Culinary Gem in Taos...”
Reviewed July 29, 2014

Housed in a former Church, this Farm-to-Table restaurant offers exceptional food in a truly beautiful setting. We came here as a Birthday / Anniversary celebration and sat at the former alter. From light salads and outrageously delicious bacon wrapped dates to start to a variety of duck, trout and tacos our party of 8 left with very happy bellys. We will be back the next time we're in Taos without a doubt...

“You Get what you pay for - in a Good way”
Reviewed July 26, 2014

We visit Taos almost every summer, but this was our first time at the Love Apple. It won't be our last. This restaurant is at the upper end of the price range for Taos dining, so save it for a special occasion. My wife, her sister, and I made reservations (recommended) and had our table waiting when we arrived. The pace of the service was relaxed and allowed us to enjoy each selection without feeling rushed. The wait staff was knowledgable about the menu as well as the specials. They were friendly as well as professional. We dined on the patio and the seating arrangements created a friendly atmosphere that allowed us to visit with and receive recommendations from the diners at an adjacent table. Their advice was excellent and allowed us to narrow the options from an intriguing selection of entrees, appetizers, and desserts. We chose 3 different entrees, and yes we sampled from each plate. The menu changes nightly, so I can't make recommendations on specific dishes. I can say that every dish was excellent, including a shared appetizer and dessert. Our fellow diners shared our opinion.

“Great food”
Reviewed July 26, 2014

The food was excellent, well prepared and hot. Service was also superb, including for a single woman. There were families present, couples, parties, and most every arrangement of people. They do not take credit or debit cards, but did accept a nearly local check.

“Farm-to-table dining at its best”
Reviewed July 23, 2014

Farm to table dining is terrific, especially if you're a foodie. I guess we're foodies, and my wife and her girlfriends really enjoy farm-to-table restaurants. At the Love Apple they really do it right. Except... for the husbands who really just want to enjoy a cesar salad, a rib eye, steak fries, and a devastating Cabernet Sauvignon. I guess I prefer a great steak house on a Saturday night. Here, it was lamb, chicken and fish. But, all the courses were very nice, and the girls loved it. I just think on a Saturday night, in Taos, NM, the chef should offer a prime rib eye or tenderloin - Waygu, if need be. My $0.02.

We were walking around looking for a dinner spot. Stopped at The Love Apple....what a find. They are open 5 PM to 9:30 PM..7 days a week. The kitchen is right on the money and the staff very well trained. We will be returning. ...
