“Lovely, quiet and serene”

Just got home from the Taos Country Inn which was a beautiful property on the western edge of Taos. There couldn't be a more perfect location as this Inn is in a very, very quiet residential area which is bordered by open land all the way to the Rio Grande Gorge. Beautiful trees, beautiful house, good food, gracious hostess. Regarding the reviewer who complained about highway noise -- I think he must have been mixed up and was trying to review the "Taos Inn" which is right on the main drag of town. The "Taos COUNTRY Inn" is absolutely quiet, unless you count the sound of cows in the fields down the street. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. My only feedback for Yolanda (the owner) is that hairdryers in the rooms would be nice, some of the linens could use an update and maybe there could be some more books and magazines for guests to peruse. Certainly none of this would prevent me from going back though! Also, if you call within 48 hours of your stay and they have an opening, Yolanda will give you a discounted price. I highly recommend staying at the Taos Country Inn!

Beautiful country inn just outside of Taos. Large rooms with fireplaces. Good breakfasts and best of all is the owner Yolanda Deveaux. Yolanda knows the area very well and is very helpful.

My husband and I stumbled upon a wonderful bed and breakfast in Taos, N.M. - - the Taos Country Inn at Rancho Rio Pueblo. It is built on 22 acres in beautiful countryside, and it's just a few miles outside town.
The rates range from $120 to $150.
