Hard to spot and tucked away off of Main Street in Taos, NM, El Pueblo is a real gem! Looks a little like a motor court from days gone by and completely surprises in terms of scope (lots of park-like open space) and quality. We used two rooms and both we excellent. Great beds, new carpet and wonderful bedding, plus new flat screen TVs. What really amazed was the speed of their free wifi, fastest I've ever experienced at any hotel anywhere (I always test speed). They also have a large outdoor in-ground hot tub that was perfectly hot, unlike many hotels that offer "Luke tubs". Staff was excellent and free continental breakfast acceptable.

At their exceptional rate, El Pueblo will now be my hotel of choice for my Taos ski trips.

Room Tip: Not sure if all their rooms are updated so be sure to request one.

We stayed 4 nights recently while skiing at Taos Ski Valley. Location is good at the north end of town so you don't have to drive thru town to ski, and good restaurants are nearby. We had a fireplace room, which was very large and comfortable for a multi-day stay. Living in Florida we don't get much fireplace time, so we used ours every morning and afternoon. Good variety of items available for the continental breakfast.

We stayed here over the weekend while skiing in Sipapu. Friendly people with a smile always on their faces. And a wonderful hot tub too!
Their breakfast was fitting for me personally as they offered gluten free items and fruits...and almond milk too.
Overall, a wonderful experience!

We (as a couple) have stayed at EPL during ski season 4 separate weeks since 2004 and twice as coordinators of a group of 40-plus since 2012. Excellent all around. Rooms remodeled SUPER bedding, breakfast, STAFF Outstanding. Prices very good and value is GREAT!

Room Tip: It is only 27 minutes to Taos Ski Valley from this property on very well-maintained roads. Close to...

First time ever to Taos, check in was smooth and fast, staff was super friendly!! Our room was away from the noise of the main road on the back of the property, parking was literally to the door which made unloading our gear very accomodating. The room was huge compared to how it looked from the outside. Sliding door led out to a small patio, which led out to the nicely maintained courtyard. The walls are thick so theres no hearing your neighbors or much less anything else. Even had a couch that folded out into a twin bed, a great surprise for the kids. The wood burning fireplace with a complimentary bundle of wood was a nice touch! Breakfast was a hit with the kiddos, fresh fruit, whole grains, a great variety to select from, and Bernita? I think that was the server/hostess name, she does a PHENOMENAL job of keeping everything fresh, organized, clean and well prepared!!! We will definitely be staying here again!

I have stayed at practically every property in Taos - from the uber pricy El Segundo to the kitch Sun God. El Pueblo will be my choice from now on. Because it is somewhat tucked off the road, it doesn't look like much from the outside. But the rooms are fantastic - especially the single floor units. The walls are thick, nicely muffeling the sounds of any noisy neighbors. The beds are truly confortable - a rarity in hotels these days. The breakfast area looks small, but manages to easily handle the morning flo. Be sure to say hello to Lupita - she's always there. The rest of the staff is friendly and accomidating. I wanted to change rooms to be closer to friends and the request was met with "you bet, no problem." The propery is an easy stroll to Michael's kitchen - honest to goodness they have a cinnamon roll there that is the size of a small dog. And since the property is on the North end of Taos you don't have to contend with the traffic squeeze in the middle of town.

Room Tip: If you are a late sleeper - ask for a room closer to the back of the property. Otherwise, everything...

Stayed for a 4 days, Great place in Taos! The price was great, room had everything we needed, separate seating area to relax in. Staff was great and very helpful. Parked right in front of our room. Was a easy walk into the downtown area of Taos. Will stay here again.
