This was my 3rd. time staying at this hotel and it was the best. Yes, It still has that rustic charm outside; but, the hotel has been recently updated/ renovated (inside) and it really looks great! It was definitely worth the return visit. Clean rooms, with nice amenities, excellent internet reception, fresh paint, updated look, dry, clean comfortable bedding, clean smelling/ aromatic rooms and new (low cut pile) carpet installed... Well maintained for a "pet friendly" hotel. Breakfast (featured a wonderful hostess) has excellent variety and served freshly cooked each morning + those afternoon chocolate chip cookie treats are great. No one can eat just one. Very friendly & knowledgeable staff that are accommodating to the needs of the hotel guests.

Room Tip: Downstairs rooms very convenient to the parking + easy access to everything; but, if you hate to hea...

June 3, 2013, Room 302
What a nice surprise the Lodge was. It is older but the rooms are very large and clean. The beds were comfortable. My Husband and I enjoyed the hot tub and pool. The staff are very accommodating. The warm chocolate chip cookies at the check in/out counter were really a welcome treat after 5 hours in the car. We stayed in room 302

Room Tip: We stayed in room 302 in the back and had no problem with noise.

I share the same opinion as most others reviewing this hotel. Even though we didn't bring our dog it's always nice to find dog friendly hotels. Our room was large and the beds were very comfortable. I enjoyed a half day at the pool which was clean and had nice lounge chairs. If I had to pick any nits, The bathroom was a bit sparse with strange red and green soap (don't wear white while washing up) and the breakfast was kind of blah...but it was free and they did have some fresh fruit. All in all it was a great stay, good value, and I would surely stay there again if I find my self in the neighborhood!

Room Tip: ask for a room away from the main road...it's busy and a bit noisy

I have stayed here twice with a group and would definitely stay here again. It's an older motel with very nice rooms and great ambiance. The staff is friendly and the rooms are very nice. The grounds are lovely in the summer - there is a nice patio/outdoor area as well. It is conveneint to the plaza and on the bus route to Taos Ski Valley if you go in the winter and don't want to drive up the mountain yourself. I would recommend this lodging to my friends and family.

Room Tip: The first time I stayed here (in the summer) I had a fireplace so I assumed all the rooms had one...

Great place to stay in Taos. Comfortable beds, excellent service, access to town and to sights without all the noise. There is a small pool and a good continental breakfast. We ate outside at lovely shaded tables. All this at reasonable prices.

Old style motel with car close to room. Lovely grounds. Chairs and table outside each room. Rooms have pretty painted furniture, cozy duvets, southwest touches. Friendly service. Close to plaza. Reasonable price.
