Mom and I looked and searched, I picked a cheaper place, she read reviews all bad. She decided on the El Pueblo. Thank goodness. Clean spacious room, the breakfast awesome. Close to Plaza awesome walking distance less than a mile. I can't wait to book for next year...lol

Room Tip: All non smoking rooms and queens we stayed in was great.

El Pueblo Lodge is a refreshing change of pace for the first time visitor to Taos. Decorated in New Mexico "shabby chic", the room is spacious, modestly priced, and located within walking distance of the plaza. Wake up to breakfast on the patio, enjoy a leisurely swim in the pool, hike, ski or white water raft before hitting the hot tub at the end of the day. And it is pet friendly!

Room Tip: The king size rooms are huge. Beside the bed, there is a sitting area, kitchen area, 2 porches and a...

We stayed one night and really enjoyed the wood fireplace, hot tub and great continental breakfast. Wood fireplaces are hard to come by so it was a treat to enjoy. Room was updated and clean and quiet. Grounds were very inviting. We would definitely stay here again.

Staff is awesome. Helpful in a genuinely caring way. Grounds reflect the staff's pride in the lodge. Off season rates are super. Room was clean, comfy and had a fireplace. Best place we stayed this whole trip. Breakfast was superb and Lupita's. coffee the best!

This reminded of the places I used to stay with parents when I was a kid in the 1950s and early 1960s. And, even though it had that old time feel, it was clear that modernizations and renovations had been done throughout the hotel. I checked in late, so didn't get a chance to peruse the grounds or other parts of the facility, but everything appeared to be neat and tidy. My room was clean and comfortable, with an easily located thermostat, good lighting and water pressure in the bathroom and comfortable bed and pillows. The Internet worked fine (even though the front desk manager had told me they were having some problems with it) but I didn't try the TV. There were electrical outlets conveniently located on TOP of the desk (always a plus in my book), but I had to move the night table and unplug the clock in order to recharge my iPhone. The complementary continental breakfast was standard fare and nothing to write home about (although the service was friendly and she kept the coffee flowing). My one complaint with the Pueblo Lodge was a vague sour-sewer like smell near the front of my room, but it was not noticeable on the inside.

This is the cutest hotel. It really feels like home away from home. The staff was terrific, from the front desk, to the woman serving the breakfast. Breakfast was served in a porch area that was very nicely decorated. The grounds are large and lovely. The facility was decorated well, with nice little southwest touches everywhere. It has a terrific atmosphere. There were little touches everywhere that added to the quality of our stay
Everything was clean and comfortable. It is walking distance to shopping.
We very much enjoyed our stay, and would recommend it to others, as well as return ourselves.
