Reserved a room here after reading the reviews on TA - was as good as everyone said. HUGE room, brand new comfortable beds, plenty of places to set luggage, clean! And the room warmed up quickly - something we don't always see in the SouthwestThe breakfast was very nice, in a lovely, "wandering" seating area. The lady in charge was terrific - offering coffee refills, keeping everything cleaned & filled, chatting with the guests.

Great stay in Taos. This hotel has the best location, walking distance to shopping and restaurants and lovely grounds for just chillin'. The breakfast was better than most and so cozy to sit on the veranda with coffee. The beds were like sleeping in a cocoon with the fluffy comforters and pillows; loved that. Will definately stay again and recommend to friends.

We stayed for one night in a large unit which had a small fridge in an alcove with table for food preparation. This was a pleasant surprise ! The heater was working nicely as it was a brisk night. We did not get to use the cute fireplace we had which was furnished with logs.
The property is well maintained, the front desk very helpful.
The continental breakfast included fresh fruits, breads, cereal, boiled eggs, fresh juices as well as coffee. It was a very generous breakfast in a pleasant setting with open fire.
The location is towards the north end of town, still walkable towards the Plaza. In fact, this is the preferred end of town.

We have stayed at the Pueblo many times dating back to the 80's...yikes. I love the Route 66, neon sign, real hotel key, steel lawn chair, 50's vibe of the place. However, the new owners have obviously put a lot of thought, energy and money into upgrading the hotel in recent years. The new beds and down comforters are great, the pool area is a huge improvement and overall the place has been scrubbed and painted top to bottom. Staff is as friendly as ever and a there is a nice variety at breakfast. After a long hot day of hiking it's nirvana to relax barefoot outside on the spacious grounds under the shade of towering cottonwoods and sip a cold beer...sigh.

Room Tip: King suite on the second floor of the west bldg. Newer, morning light, nice east facing view of gro...

I believe we were in "newer" section of the hotel, level 2 towards the back of the property. Our room was huge with a newer fireplace (not kiva style), HDTV, kitchen area and a large comfy bed. We had spent the day hiking so we spent the evening in front of the TV relaxing. The TV was new, large, clear and I believe had DirecTV which had a really easy to use channel guide...this is a luxury that I've started to appreciate in hotels as it's few and far between. As for location, it's not far from the plaza where there's shopping and restaurants, also extremely close to the Taos Pueblo. Breakfast was OK, nothing too impressive here but the usual free hotel breakfast fare which was fine.

The property seemed to have a lot to offer if the weather were warmer. There's plenty of place to play, grill and hang out outside.

In short, it may not be the most luxurious hotel choice, but it's perfectly adequate if you're touring in and around Taos, especially if you're visiting the pueblo or the enchanted circle. I'd recommend it to others as we found it a perfect match for our type of trip.

Room Tip: Read their website or phone them to ask about the differences between the old & new rooms. It...

Ebby is a sweetheart at the front desk! Warm cookies a plus!! Lots of lawn areas, grills, space to walk your dogs too!!
Great beds, pillows and t.v. Service. Many types of rooms, quiet location. Close to Michaels kitchen where food is good-but the bakery is fabulous!!
Close to Taos Pueblos which we loved visiting!!

Great place to stay, clean rooms with HD TV, friendly staff, complimentary breakfast and easy access to Taos sites. Would stay there again when next in town. Plenty of parking so you can walk to town. All good.
