Owner description: Riding the soft desert winds is the perfect way to celebrate your special occasions with friends, family or when there is romance in the air. And, there is no better place to enjoy it than around Taos. We fly the scenic Rio Grande Gorge as it cuts through the high desert mesa like a 650 ft. deep Grand Canyon. The famous Rio Grande River gently flows through it. As we're gently gliding and enjoying the beautiful panoramas we drop down into the Gorge and kiss the river for the most thrilling balloon ride anywhere. We see baby coyotes, deer, mountain goats and elk in the Spring, blossoming flowers, bushes and cacti in Summer, the colorful changing Fall foliage and the beautiful snow covered Sangre de Cristo Mountains in the Winter - there is always majestic beauty everywhere! Join us for your adventure of a lifetime today!

The Gorge adds a whole new dimension to ballooning. This was my third ballooning experience and my companions first. No disappointment with this trip! From the very beginning of booking our flight with Leslie, to our brunch at the end with the whole crew, this trip was fabulous! Ed was our pilot, but Dave and Lisa our ground crew also added a lot to our adventure. Lots of laughter, along with total professionalism, really made this balloon ride perfect.

Having always wanted to go on a hot air balloon ride, I'm extremely happy with our choice to take Pueblo Balloon Company while in Taos. The balloons go into the Rio Gorge, providing amazing views. Ed piloted the balloon like the pro he is, and was super informative about all things ballooning. My son didn't want to go in the balloon, so Pueblo even accommodated us by letting him ride in the chase car. The champagne toast after was great fun, and the post-flight brunch with the group super tasty. There are a few balloon companies in the area, but I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend Pueblo over the others!

I am so thankful that I booked this trip. I surprised my sister and we both can't wait for a chance to do it again! Our day began with an early morning pick-up at our hotel by Dave, the crew chief. Dave is extremely knowledgeable and friendly and put us right at ease as he drove us to the launch site. We were joined by a mom and teen daughter from Alaska and a charming couple on spring break from a Texas college.
We pitched in and helped get the 100 foot balloon inflated and then it was time to jump in the gondola. We watched the pi ball launch; learned which way the air was blowing, and it was "up, up and away in the beautiful balloon."
The skill, confidence and mastery Ed displayed while piloting the balloon was only matched by his charm and knowledge. (By the way, PARADE magazine recently featured Ed!) The Rio Grande River Gorge is spectacular. Ed skillfully maneuvered the balloon down to practically touch the river. We then were dazzled by endless views of the nearly unspoiled high desert. Who knew that the original stagecoach routes are still used and the world headquarters of the "earth ships" exists in outer Taos, NM.
Once the balloon ride ended, our unhurried adventure continued. We were driven to the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge where we celebrated our trip with champagne -- just like the very first hot air balloon ride in 1783.
Lastly, we celebrated with a decadent breakfast (included) at Michael's Kitchen Cafe and Bakery in Taos. Ed, Dave and Lisa from Pueblo Balloon relaxed with us. The food was absolutely delicious.
A point of discussion was doing "random acts of kindness." If you have a loved one, surprise them with a Pueblo Balloon trip.
I had very high expectations and EVERY ONE of them was MORE THAN EXCEEDED. Thank you, Ed. May God always set you back again into the loving arms of Mother Earth.

This balloon ride was the highlight of our trip. Ballooning is a big attraction in New Mexico, but many of the trips seem like you just get to go up in the balloon and then come right back down. This experience was an incredible trip down through the Rio Grande Gorge and then up high over the fields for over an hour. Ballooning down into a gorge sounds like it could be scary but it really wasn't. The pilot was very calm and reassuring and the ride was so smooth that your hair doesn't even blow around.

At first glance the price seemed like a splurge but after seeing everything they provide it was an incredible value. They picked us up at the hotel, took us on an hour-long balloon ride over the Rio Grande Gorge, after landing we had a fun champagne brunch overlooking the Rio Grand Gorge Bridge, and then brought us back to our hotel. In total, it was a 4-5 hour experience with door-to-door service. The pilot and crew are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Throughout the trip, they shared their knowledge about the history of the area (and the history of ballooning) and had great recommendations on other things to do in Taos. I highly recommend this.
