“Hammered tin a real surprise”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

The collection is precious. We especially liked the hammered tin items. Photos, jewelry, rugs, all worth the visit.

“Favorite Museum in Taos”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

Make sure to check out this museum if you're in Taos. I love looking at the beautiful pottery, blankets, baskets, jewelry, etc. There is a lot of beautiful pottery by Maria Martinez. The staff is very friendly and helpful, too. You can take photos as long as you don't use a flash. There is a student discount, so bring your student ID if you have one.

“if you can only go to one taos museum, this is it”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

After being on the road for nearly three wks, we were really heading back. But, of course, Taos is a must & we heard most favorable reviews of this museum. For such a short life, especially her time spent in Taos, this woman collected a lot of very nice examples of NM expressions in the forms of wearable art & the cultures she found here. We appreciated that all that was housed in one location, a house that one of her friends had donated in memory of artistic eye.

“A hidden gem”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

Wow, what a great museum out on the range. I was tempted to say "lithe" museum, but there is nothing little about this museum, its collection or the amount of art work on display. And it all comes wrapped in the story of Millicent Rogers, who if you're like us, you didn't know about. But it's all fascinating.

“One of the better museums we visited”
Reviewed June 8, 2013

An amazing collection, from an interesting lady. I particularly loved the jewelry. Some of the woven blankets were very nice as well. A must see when visiting Taos.
