I learned much about Indians in Taos. The diversity is great between the tribes. I also learned that I don't belong there. I felt like a gawker and I was. I felt uncomfortable walking through this peoples town but, again, I learned quite a bit.

We visited early in the day, just as the locals were setting out their wares for sale. The main pueblo structure is impressive and the guided tour, which we wove in and out of, was informative. Despite fairly high price for a relatively short experience, it was well worth it;

The tour of Taos Pueblo offered a glimpse into the history of one of native populations, the Pueblo. The structures offer a living history of original dwellings and lifestyles. Our Guide Jesse spoke with pride of his tribe's struggles and accomplishments. He also told us of how his generation keeps traditions alive. He answered all our curious questions with ease. Highly recommended!!
