We had already had an intro to Pueblo life at Acoma so when we visited this one we expected to hear the stories all over again. They didn't do that and the tour guide kept it short, gave a good overview, showed us where we could go and then left us on our own to explore the stands, shops and buildings. Purchased the photo permit as there is some really pretty scenery. When you go by the adobe home where you smell the bread (right at the beginning) go in and get some of the Indian Cookies. They are really an enjoyable treat along with the surprisingly delicious choke cherry lemonade.
If you have no knowledge of Pueblo life read most tour guides and they should have a good overview of what happened to most of them and about the uprising.
