Description: Old Town Bistro is a family owned and operated restaurant.Nearly everything we serve is made from scratch in our kitchen by our staff. We cut your steak from the finest Choice Roasts available, hamburger meat is ground fresh daily, never frozen, most of the Chile we serve comes from our Socorro Val Verde (Green Valley), grown by local farmers and processed by us in our kitchen, the recipes we use for sauces, salad dressings and everything else are our own. When you dine at the Old Town Bistro you will be tasting real food prepared that day in our kitchen.

Located in an adobe building, this was a straightforward dining experience. Service was good. Food was prepared well and was flavorful. Live music is performed, and you might want to check with the staff to find out who's on stage.

My husband and I frequent Socorro monthly and every visit we eat here. The food is the best you can get in the area and the atmosphere is great. Our last visit was during New Mexico Tech's 49ers and we sat on the patio and ate dinner to live music. The food is always good, i will say that sometimes they run out of menu items but this is to be expected in a small town. I think its part of the charm anyways. The service is good and we always have a pleasant conversation with our waiter. For people from out of town or not familiar with Socorro, I say this: Part of the charm is the slower pace and authenticity of the town so be patient and enjoy the green chile stew with a beer on the patio.

Went there about 3 P. M. Really good menu. Service was personal . Food was great, melts in your mouth. Art on the wall was from an art store next door and was very interesting. Mostly local subjects. We will definately go there when we visit Socorro again.

Small town restraunts are not going to be fancy, this has some simple good food and great service. They have a few nights a week with live music.

Had a table of nine, we shoud of known there was a problem when the place was amost empty at 6:30! The waiter could of cared less about having us there and just blew off our complaints. The menu in the restaurant is not the same as the web site, steaks were small, flavorless and poor quality. Not worth the visit at any price. There are some really good places for steak in Socorro and this is not one of them. Stay Away!!!

I'm surprised that the quality of our steaks didn't live up to your expectations. We start with the best Choice meat we can find (the Sterling line from Shamrock).
Please let us know you are unhappy. Then we can steps to remedy the situation.
