This is a no frills, small old motel, along one of the car routes used before the Interstate system; but unlike many such motels, this is still being cared for fairly well. It has not been retrofitted or undergone any noticeable major refurbishment, but it is clean and an intact hotel. The doors work well, the bed is of acceptable comfort, etc; it's just an old hotel --- though the paint job is not too old.
It's a great choice for the experience that such motels can provide, but it is small. The parking court is small and the rooms are small, but they have all you need, including small flat screen TV's and small bars of soap; and it is conveniently located on a main road through town and just off the road headed out to the VLA.
If you like comforts, newness, or have a large family, then this is probably not the hotel for you. For people that love the experience of old roadside motels, this is a bit different from the regular, and is probably for you.
The free WiFi is slightly spotty, but available. There's an old style coffee and breakfast diner with cool signage just down the road on the same side.
