“Great coffee and sandwich shop.”
Reviewed March 22, 2012

This is one of my all time favorite places in Socorro to eat. They also have a dinner menu each night, but the food is fresh and clean, and they have great coffee too.

“Socorro loves it's M-Mountain coffee house (and you will too)”
Reviewed February 28, 2012

I'm a local -- but lest you go all coastal snobbery on me, I was born in Manhattan, grew up on Long Island and lived 20 years in Santa Barbara and San Francisco. M-Mountain coffee house is the new name for Manzanares Street Coffee. The couple from CA mentioned in other reviews moved on and a local couple of Doctor/Musician/polymaths took it over. There is frequent live music and the menu is the same or better. Tuesday night is "Indian food Tuesday" ... only place you can get it in Socorro. But this review is for travelers, not locals.

If you want a little local color and not just to go to Starbucks -- check this place out.
The mural on the outside wall is way cool and done by a very talented local teenager.
Unusual ... colorful!

The service is not zippy but it's not slow. If you spend 30 minutes dawdling over coffee and baked goods or sandwiches, then walk around Socorro's plaza, you will have had a very peaceful travel experience. No crowds. no lines ... no noise. Small town New Mexico!

“Good for breakfast”
Reviewed January 31, 2012

The address on our GPS had us on the wrong side of the main road (it's on the west side), but you can find it by the large coffee cup mural on the side of the building. We had breakfast sandwiches on ciabatta--too much bread for the amount of filling, but tasty. Breakfast options in Socorro are limited.
