After reading the reviews, we decided to try the Lake City Diner. The little town is dying, but the Lake City Diner is already dead.

We intended to eat at the Lake City Diner. Apparently it closed at the beginning of June. Everything is for sale.

Small restaurant, under new ownership, but still very good. In an old bank building with a view of the kitchen trough the vault. Yummy stacked enchiladas with green chili and an egg on top.

Santa Rosa is not a particularly uplifting place. Full of vacancies and abandoned buildings, it seems to have been hit hard by the recession and is only surviving off of travelers. LCD is a charming, quaint, restaurant that feels more like a cafe then a diner. The restaurant is marked by turn of the century architectural details, great service and excellent food. The menu is wide-ranging and anyone could find something they would enjoy there. They also offer a selection of local wines that were quite impressive. The food was very fresh, tasty, and well-priced. I would give my recommendation to this place without the slightest hesitancy.
