What an unforgettable experience. The Lodge is rustic with no electricity yet despite this the rooms are great, bed was comfortable water bottle included, hot water via a donkey boiler ensured great showers. Food was awesome, ate far too much!! Guides - knowledgeable, fun, great trackers. Wildlife, too much to mention, Madikwe is home to big 5, saw all 5 plus so much more big and small, furry and feathery. evenings spent around the open fire enjoying tails of the bush with fellow guests, everyone here shares the table, fire etc so no one is left out, you are having fun as well as seeing great wildlife and learning about Africa

Room Tip: all rooms are the same my tip is, if you want to see the wildlife go in Winter (Southern Hemisphere...

Been there last weekend, it's such a unique experience! The night in the bush, with nothing but the animals and the night around you, the friendliness and knowledge of the staff, make Mosetlha such a stunning place!
We loved the lanterns at night, don't be scared about not having running water or electricity, it's one of the most relaxing experiences you can have

Stayed here for 3 nights in 2009 and loved the place. It's the most affordable place to stay in Madikwe, but still doesn't come very cheap. But considering what you get (3 meals a day and 2 tours, morning and late afternoon) it is actually a 'bargain'. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and knowledgable. There is a nice sitting area with books and magazines and you really feel you are staying in the middle of the African nature. Most animals can actually almost enter the property or be just metres from your bed. You will definately here some creatures at night (think hyena etc). The tours are fantastic and you will probably see at least 4 of the Big Five + a lot of extra animals. African Wild Dogs we saw twice and were fantastic! Also a brief view of a leopard but he disappeared quickly in the tall grass at the moment. Would visit again!

I am going in September for my fourth visit.
I first went for Christmas 2008 and loved it so much that I went back for a couple of days after New Year before returning to the UK!
Great atmosphere, great guides, great bush shower!
If you want a Jacuzzi and to be pampered then this is not the place for you, but if you want a great time in a fantastic bush camp this is the place.

One of our best holdays yet. 5 nights in the middle of winter, an exceptional experience. Great company, great food, great game viewing... simply everything was great. The silence of the bush, the hunt of the lion, the camp fire at night, stories from the manager and the field guides, the pups of the wild dogs and the back to basics (though of high quality and personal attention) of the whole experience.. An absolute must!

Room Tip: All the rooms are of the same quality

I was travelling with my son and we went directly to the camp having landed in the morning. From start to finish it was truly brilliant. No running water, no electricity, limited signal for telephone and no wifi - a great place to get away from it all and connect with oneself and nature. We saw, smelt and felt the bush. Saw animals and birds and above all travelled with some great and interesting people. All at the camp were welcoming and Caroline was magnificent as the host. Kymotso was a lovely and knowledgeable guide and the chefs in the kitchen excelled at producing great meals in fairly basic conditions. We loved it and despite the cold winter nights we were well wrapped up in duvets and hot water bottles!!! Come if you want an authentic experience.
