We stayed at Garonga for our first part of our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. The tents are comfortable with all the amenities of a hotel, you kind of forget you are staying in a tent! Every meal was delicious and we were never hungry. My husband is a picky eater so this is saying a lot! The only downside was we didn't see as many animals in the riverbed because it was the dry season. But that is beyond their control. We really enjoyed Garonga and will we are missing it already!

Went there as part of my honeymoon and had the best experience I could have ever expected.
Great location, service and the people who work there are second to none would always go out of there way to ensure you enjoyed the game rides.
Would put in my top 3 places I have stayed.

Garonga is a lovely camp with beautiful well equiped tents. From a hairdrier to electric blankets, to gowns and slippers and sarongs and magazines. The biggest spoil for me was the hammock on our verandah overlooking the dry riverbed. ( each of the tents have one ) The weekend will be forever concreted in our memories as the weekend of new experiences (adventures). While having a steaming hot bath under the stars, in a free standing bath surrounded by silence and candles, we heard how an elephant pushed over a tree in the bush. This was a spectacular sound. We also did a sleepout in a " treehouse", just my husband and I, alone in the bush, surrounded by the animal sounds in the bush and soft lantern light. This was an amazing experience and highly recommended. Having a massage in the sala on the edge of the dry riverbed is also a must. We loved our stay.

We stayed 6 nights in garonga 2 nights in the main camp and 4 nights in the little garonga camp. Our days started early with a safari tour. We were totally 4 people, we had a safari jeep with a driver and a guide just for us. These guys are that nice, friendly and experienced just great. We saw all big 4 with exception of the buffalo. The private game is such great not crowded and with huge number of animals. Our tour guide stopped and bring us to place and positions we asked for, because we liked photo-safari. They really respect the animals at this tours. The camp is just great from the tent-room in the main camp you have a increddible view on an elephant trail and the elephant pass throug nearly on a daily base. The little Garonga Camp was just for us two and it was an extra ordinary experience. Service was on his best. Quality of food and rooms are outstanding. If possible I have to return one of the best places I ever been.

Room Tip: Little Garonga then you have your private safari camp just for you, you will never forget.

We spent 5 nights at Garonga and were enchanted by our fantastic stay. Lovely setting, people and animals! Really really well run and organised - with a great attention to detail, but not over fussy - ie relaxing. Would love to come again.

My son and I stayed 2 nights at Garonga and we really enjoyed every minute of it! The friendly staff, the rangers (Elliott and Richard) who went out of their way for us, the magical atmosphere, the exquisite food... and when we left we were waved goodbye by all. Thank you very much for making our first safari so special and memorable!

Spent 5 nights in a luxury tent at Garonga. Bernie and his team could not have made the experience more enjoyable! Fabulous location, food, staff, ambience! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left it was like being part of a family. The other guests who were primarily on honeymoon were lovely company and like minded so there was a really laid back atmosphere with everyone enjoying the Safari Rides and sharing their Animal sightings. Our Rangers were Jeff and Rebel who were very skilled and committed. Learnt so much about footprints, tracking, the animals, birds and treelife! The food was excellent and the tents were appointed to a very high standard. Loved the outside shower and the hammock. Heated blankets at night and laundry!!!
Both my husband and I had a fantastic massage and our last night along with our twins spent a night on the Sleepout. All wonderful experiences. It was my birthday whilst there and I had a cake, card and a Happy birthday sung by the staff!
Bernie should be very proud of what he has achieved and we will be recommending Garonga wholeheartedly!!
Would love to come back one day!!

Room Tip: Loved the luxury tents. All in good positions!
