We found in Shindzella everything we were searching for : quietness, immersion in nature, friendliness, relaxed atmosphere. Tents are very comfortable and provide a very nice experience. Rangers, trackers and all the staff are very welcoming, very professional. Game drives and bushwalk are very interesting : you have to search for animals and each one you meet is a "gift", and we saw a lot, also thanks to the possibility for the rangers to drive offroad. What a delightful feeling to come back at night from a game drive and share a delicious dinner around the fire in the boma .... We experienced safari before (SA, Tanzania, Namibia) and we would certainly recommend Shindzella to everyone searching for authenticity rather than the cold luxury of some most expansive lodges ! Thanks and regards to everybody there !

My wife and I went on Safari for the first time last September. Through a recommendation from someone who helps plan trips to South Africa, we learned about Shindzela. Bottomline: we had an experience of a lifetime and a lot of it had to do with Shindzela's staff, the excellent meals, the feel of an open camp, the comraderie of the other wonderful guests. We definitely DID NOT want some luxury experience, some huge lodge which makes you forget where you are. Well, we got the camp experience as well as top notch amenities. The shower and bed were as good as any top notch hotels, the food was out superb and we ate each night like we were all friends. We would lounge by their pool or have whiskeys in their bar and talk to people from all walks of life. Best of all-- absolutely best of all-- were the safari rides in the early morning and the evenings. The Shindzela team simply loves what they do. A love and respect for the land and the animals and other wildlife is apparent throughout and is part of Shindzela's culture. My wife and I took the option of an overnight stay in their cabin near a watering hole and, in a magical encounter, we ran into a leopard mom and her cub (twice!-- at night and in the morning driving back). We enjoyed our sundowners. We saw the Big Five but we walked away with great respect and awe for all of the wildlife, all the animals, plants, etc-- we saw an anteater and bush babies. We would definitely return to Shindzela, with kids even. It was a trip we'll never forget and we are really happy we went with Shindzela.

I attended Shindzela solo in February 2015. Have no worries if you area a solo traveler, I had a great time!

I had a great time to say the least. The staff was excellent, the food was good, the wildlife was awesome, and the camp was exactly what I wanted for a safari. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an authentic safari experience with minimal frills and excellent nature viewing.

The staff really make this place. They are like one big family and throw them selves into making the whole place work . Its the perfect Timbavati bush experience, a little like the old Gomo Gomo we used to stay at, (we have not been to the new one). Small, intimate, simple but with great little touches. We dont like fenced off, fancy places with spas! This place is open to the bush. Tents are great with functional bathrooms and very comfy beds, the mosquito nets and insect coils being a nice thought. Wian our ranger was wonderful; enthusiastic and a great people person. He is very knowledgeable and safe and a real joy to be with. Jeffrey, (dont mention the honey badgers), is a fantastic old school tracker; they are becoming a rare asset and he is supberb. The staff work hard to find the animals as there are just two vehicles, which is great as you are never in a queue for sightings and can spend as much time as you want with them. It also makes it more fun trying to find them. We saw 3 lots of Lion an amazing leopard , Buffalo, lots of Elephant, Wild Cat, Civet and so on.

Food was good and camp fires excellent. Amazing night skies.

Eugene took us on a great walk and we met some elephant and saw an amazing rhino imprint. Andre and Caroline are great hosts. They are all such lovely people. Thanks team!
