I have traveled all over the world and would consider Serondella Game Lodge the BEST accommodation we have ever stayed at. Hands down. We stayed here for three nights in July 2012 and my only wish is that we could have stayed longer. We booked the accommodation for 9 people and they were kind enough to simply reserve the entire lodge (sleeps 12 I believe) for us. So we had the entire location to ourselves. From the moment you show up, you are treated like royalty with every need being met. The lodgings were comfortable, clean and huge! The food was fantastic. We have several picky eaters that were accommodated with simple foods but then the rest of us were given yummy, gourmet food.

The best part of the entire experience though is definately the game drives. Our ranger, Dave, and tracker, Omega, were absolutely fantastic! Having done several game parks before, we were specific about what we wanted to try to see and Dave found exactly the animals we wanted--up close and eating kills! We have one family member who is really into wild life and Dave patiently answered all of his questions. We loved the personal touches like the hot water bottles on your seat for the cold morning drives.

Only down side to the whole experience (and this really is nothing compared to the positives) was the length of drive to get in to the lodge. It took us almost three hours to drive in and we drove our own rental cars on the bumpy dirt road. Had I known it would be such an ordeal, we would have chosen to just fly in to the lodge (there's a small airport that would be worth the expense compared to the nightmare of driving ourselves in). Still, the drive is worth the lodge!

You won't regret staying here!! Private safaring is the only way to go! This accommodation makes your experience not just a safari but your own African getaway!

Three days at Serondella was the most magical start to our Honeymoon. Neither of us have ever been on a Safari before and both totally loved the whole experience.
Be warned that the transfer is a good 2.5hrs, but well worth it. We arrived rather weary after a long journey but were greeted at the main lodge with fresh lemonade before being picked up for what we thought would be a transfer to Serondella....turned out to be our first game drive, fantastic! All tiredness disappeared straight away!

The Lodge was beautiful with a lovely watering hole which provided plenty of action during the rest periods. A lovely comfy bed, powerful shower and large bath all added to the luxury surroundings in our lodge. The food was fantastic throughout, everything from the breakfast breaks in the morning through to three course dinners in the evening we were very well looked after.

The game drives themselves were fantastic, we did five in total and we were able to see all the main animals and never once got bored. Omega, Dave and Neil were very knowledgable and accomodating and were albe to spot plenty of activity for us!

This was a once in a lifetime trip for us and Serondella, along with the charming team certainly helped to make it something we will treasure forever.

My wife and I just spent three brilliant days and nights at Serondella under the superb care, hospitality and expertise of Dave (Guide/Ranger), Omega (Tracker), Carla (Hostess), GodSave (Chef), Trust (Bartender) and staff.
Words can't really do justice to describe the remarkable and emotional safari and guest experiences, as well as the lifelong memories, that the people (and animals) of Serondella provide...or perhaps more accurately stated...create.
So, I will simply say THANK YOU to Serondella and say DO IT to anyone considering a trip to this magical place.

Room Tip: Rhino Suite is great for couples.

I have wanted to go to Africa since I have been a little boy many years ago. My family and I have just left Serondella, and all my wildest expectations were eclipsed quite easily. First, the accommodations were absolutely first class. We stayed in the family suite, and it was immaculate, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. Then, I cannot speak highly enough of the staff. Carla, the hostess was caring, responsive, thoughtful, and just plain nice. She and the rest of the property staff took care of our every wish, not that we were left with very many. The food was excellent and seemed to be always at a hands distance. There is no way that I can speak about Serondella without gushing about David, our ranger, and Omega, our tracker. Our first drive had the both of them go into the bush on foot and find the lions that none of the other guides were able to find. They wouldn't leave till they found them! They were so knowledgeable about all the animal inhabitants in Thornybush. On the night drives, it had already gotten dark, and Omega was able to see the tiniest of animals and lizards in trees when we could hardly see the tree! It was amazing. If you are thinking of Serondella for your safari, do not hesitate. About booking there. I hope I get the opportunity to go back.

Serondella was simply perfect in every way. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, the decking area was particularly useful as you could chill out on a sun lounger between safaris and watch the animals at the watering hole. The food was exceptional, there was plenty of choice and standard was really high. But above all the people who worked there made our trip. Everyone was so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us particularly Neil and Chrissy – thank you for being so welcoming and teaching us so much about the animals and Africa in general. To sum, if you are thinking of going on sarafi – book Serondella and you won’t be disappointed.

Room Tip: Any overlooking the water hole
