“One of the best hotels that I stayed.”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

Everything went perfect, since I arrive by car until the last minute.
People are very friendly and helpful.
I recommend to all to stay at least 2 nights, to be able to enjoy all the parts from this Lodge.

we only stayed one night, it was an amazing experience.
as mentioned before in other reviews, there are two properties, naledi bushcamp and enkoveni camp. we stayed at enkoveni camp, therefore I can only review this one. It is located in this private reserve which borders to Kruger park next to the Olifant River. The Enkoveni camp was build just a year ago and everything is beautifully done and very spacious. The service is just perfect, the game drives were fantastic and the bushwalk an inspiring experience.
Haven't visited any other Game Lodge in my life, therefore I can't compare. However, travel a lot and have seen many hotels and guesthouses in the world and this one stands out.
The price includes the accomodation, game drives and all meals. Drinks were separate, but prices for drinks are more than fair.
To get to the Lodge you can take your own car (they also pick you up at the airport). We had a regular passengar car, an SUV would have been better, because the road in the park is very bumpy and not suited for a regular car.

For our first trip to South Africa, I did a lot of research in terms of what to expect on an safari adventure so I though I had prepared my mind the best. However, once we arrived to Naledi via the Joberg shuttle arraigned by Alicia, the service from the minute we arrived to the minute we left was absolutely 5star. You're greeted with a refreshing cocktail while your bags are delivered to your room. Walking the lodge grounds for the first time was breathtaking. I promise you, anytime you needed anything there were employees right there for you, yet, at the same time, you felt as if you were the only persons on the lodge grounds. Hard to explain, but it was absolutely an experience. Although early in the morning, the first ride onto the safari is beautiful, watching the sun rise while out in the bush. The ride lasted for appx 3.5 hours but seemed to go so quickly. Mid way through, Kiel would stop for hot drinks and breakfast snacks. Once back at the lodge, we had appx 30 minutes before a hot breakfast is served. Kiel joined and had the opportunity to discuss the ride and the animals we saw in more detail. After breakfast we were offered a variety of options for a mid-morning activity which included a guided bush walk or time out in the stands. Around 2p we were served yet another delicious meal for lunch. Then before you knew it, it was time for our evening ride which left appx 4p. This 4 hour ride included "sundowners" which was my favorite part of the day having cocktails at sundown. Kiel always picked the best location for a view. After the evening ride, we were welcomed with a refreshing shot cocktail as departing the vehicle. Dinner was candlelit 3 course meal which the food was incredible, which again Kiel was part of. This attention to detail will be noticed in every aspect. Naledi came recommended from some friends who live in Cape Town, and I also would recommend this lodge safari to anyone who wants to experience an incredible safari experience. Kiel and his team will exceed your expectations!!

We revisited Naledi to celebrate our 11th Anniversary. In previous visit we stayed in Bushcamp, hence decided to try out Enkoveni. I must say, the Olifants river gives Enkoveni that special set up to die for. Though sighting of animals were considerably less this time due to lush green thick bushes, Alicia and team ensured our stay 2nd time was as memorable as the first one. Kjell, Alicia and team became part of our anniversary celebration and arranged candle light dinner with champagne on the table, good wish cards with hand written messages and a beautiful gift to make it ever so memorable. Arrangements, food, services, game drive everything was impeccable and with a personal touch. Top that with homely ambiance created by every members. Thank You team Naledi and will look for a return in future, may be.

Room Tip: All rooms are great.

My family and I stayed 2 nights at Naledi Bush camp in January this year, and wished it could have been more. It was the most fantastic experience and I loved every minute of our stay. Our accommodation was so comfortable, and the food delicious. I loved the intimacy and would certainly recommend this bush camp to all my friends and family. Will definitely come back, A big thank you to Shaun and Rozanne for their wonderful hospitality. The game drives were awesome and exciting. We saw so much. THANK YOU GUYS !

We stayed a couple of nights at the Enkoveni ("at the river") camp. It was just PERFECT, beautiful newly renovated rooms, friendly staff, delicious meals and great safari-experiences! We were woken up at 5, left on the morning gamedrive at 5:30 after a cup of coffee. The gamedrives were amazing! Shaun and Sipho showed us more animals (Impalas, black rhino, hippos, lions, leopard, elephant, giraffes, zebras...) than we could ever dream of seeing in our short, but sweet stay and shared as much of their knowledge with us as they could! Midways in the morning drive we were served coffee/tea and biscuits. A yummy breakfast would await when we returned to the lodge around 8:30-9. We left for the next gamedrive at 16:00, the hours between the two drives could be filled with activities like walking-safaris or birdwatching and lunch was a delicious event as well. On the nightdrives we would stop and enjoy sundowners and snacks before going on in the dark with a huge flashlight. When we returned to the lodge satisfied with animal-sightings we were met with a hot cloth to wash our faces, a liqour-drink the chef had the 3-course dinner ready. We will be coming back, I hope in not too long!

Room Tip: I think there's not bad pick of the rooms, but there's lots of different ones. Read the desc...

We arrived late, but Kjel was waiting for us ready to go out on our first game drive. A quick drop of bags and off we went, looking for game, then a sundown rest stop and drink, then back to the accommodation for welcoming drinks and dinner. everyone got everything just right. accommodation was great, We had the room with the outside shower, The family got the twin rooms with the Spa on the deck. the communal area has a bar, pool two decks overlooking the river. meals were fantastic, and the whole atmosphere is like you are family. Kjel did all he could to find game for us, and on the final morning he succeeded in finding the one we had missed with a close up of a lion with a fresh kill of a Giraffe. Fantastic place to stay with fantastic people what more can you ask for.
