Singita Boulders Lodge
Certificate of Excellence

Just perfect are the words for our stay here. We were there with the whole family for 4 days. The rooms, food and SERVICE (most important) were impecable, all details taken care all the time. They cater to all of our requirements. The trackers and guide were superb, we saw the big five on almost every game drive.
Would recommend it to anyone. I have been in several lodges throughout africa, from all the other chains (& beyond, wilderness, etc) and nothing even comes close.
Congratulations for the Singita Group.

Our family travels globally and get to experience a lot of special places; Singita was by far the most special, magical, beautiful place we've experienced to date. The service was amazing. The food was perfect. The safaris were ideal - the stay was built around two safaris a day and what we learned about the ecosystem and saw was spectacular - the quality and volume of animal sightings was greater than expected. This is our new standard by which we judge other vacation experiences, and we look forward to returning as soon as possible for our third visit.

Room Tip: I liked the Boulders Lodge design better than the other lodge nearby...

We visited Singita for 4 nights at the beginning of June 2012; 2,nights at Sweni and 2 at Boulders. The style of operation at both lodges is the same; beautiful and well located rooms, great service and fully-comp F&B.
The game viewing was excellent (our guide was Johan and tracker was Fanuel) and their knowledge and attitude was incredibly professional, yet relaxed and friendly. We saw the big 5 within 3 drives!
We had massages and a facial while we were there - both were great and of the level you would expect from a top Maldives/Seychelles/london etc spa
The food and dining service was exceptional and the team were really accomodating with our in-room dining requests.
The wine list and cellar are very extensive, with some interesting older vintages available and more to the point, you can drink as much as you want at no extra cost. Same goes for food.
Word of advice: take warm clothes as the morning drives were really cold. However, temperatures got up to mid 20 degrees by lunch. On the 2nd day, we skipped the morning drive and they took us out mid morning when it had warmed up- this, again, shows how flexible and accomodating to your every need they are.
Would put this lodge in same category as Upper House (HK)/One and Only Maldives/Naladhu Maldives.
In summary, we loved it and would recommend to anyone looking for a bespoke and luxurious trip.

I can't think of a single negative thing to say about Singita Boulders. From the outset, you are welcomed at the airstrip with friendly staff and perfectly maintained vehicles. At the lodge, knowledgable, friendly staff are always available and take quick action to fulfill any request. The design of the facility is lovely...primitive luxury. Each room/cabin is unique, with many boasting plunge pools and exceptionally beautiful views over the Sand River. The food...good Lord it's good. And, they are eager to fulfill any specific request regardless of the set menu. The wine cellar is impressive, and they can please even the most jaded palette. But the main reason people come is for game viewing...and the guides are friendly, knowledgable, and seem to have the same enthusiasm for the wildlife as the first time visitor. The vehicles were comfortable and well equipped land rovers, with such nice-ities as hot water bottles on cold mornings. The spa and beautifully equiped exercise facility are huge bonuses...I had a fantastic massage. And, lastly, there is a lovely shop that combines some of the most attractive jewelry, clothing and home decor I saw in South Africa.

Basically, if you want a luxury safari experience from a fixed-location (not a tent) camp...this is a great choice.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlook the Sand River for sure, and with a plunge pool if that is important to you

The lodge at Boulders and our accommodations were spectacular , we had 2 spacious bedrooms, a airy sitting room with multiple luxury bathing areas both indoors and out, private deck with our own plunge pool and friendly lizards. Breakfast ,lunch and dinner and in room goodies (wine included) were all great. And the best part - the animals as our guide Leon and tracker Lawrence worked very hard to ensure that we saw the incredible creatures of Sabi Sans/Kruger- the wild dogs and the lioness hyena confrontation in the dark were extra special. An overall fantastic experience. Went as a family of four (two teenagers who were constantly engaged! ) and it was one of our most memorable vacations ever.

Singita Boulders in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. Imagine this: coming in from an incredibly beautiful candlelit dinner by a pool, where each course was a work of an art and tasted even more delicious than it looked. Entering our magnificent cool suite with subdued lighting, mosquito netting around the bed, huge white plumped up duvets and pillow, wonderful white fluffy towels at the bathtub, candles lit by the staff. However, as enticing as the bed looked we decided to go for nighttime skinny dip, popped on the pool light and into the warm pool listening to the sounds of bush around us and staring up at the constellations of stars above us. Bliss - pure unadultered bliss! I loved showering outside, watched by the most inquisitive vervet monkey - most amusing. The decor is so lovely everything blends into the bush feel, but is incredibly high-tech. The small touches like room sprays and separate toilets, torches attached to the beds, mosquito sprays, bags to take to on game drives - incredible. The staff were attentive and kind and incredibly professional. The game drives were wonderful - we saw everything and more. Yes - it is expensive, but all your costs are covered. It is an incredible treat to do a wine tasting in their splendid cellar and choose your a bottle to suit your palate - all included. Every phone call is covered - you just might want to buy some of their gorgeous gift items - not covered! The Singita spirit is very special and just about impossible to beat.

Room Tip: all the rooms are beautiful with private pools and each is completely private. You might prefer a r...

Singita Boulders and Lebombo are in a class by themselves. It is very pricey but in this case worth the price. A once in a lifetime experience to live in luxury and experience the best South Africa has to offer. Boulders has an incredible wine cellar with the best South African wines imaginable. All complementary with your meals. We visited Singita Ebony which also looked extraordinary. Splurge and live life to the fullest.
