Yes, Tree Camp at Londolozi would merit a 6th star! Wonderful spacious accommodations, very luxurious,,, excellent food and meal service, fabulous management and staff,,, oh, and that doesn't even include the outstanding game viewing and truly excellent rangers and trackers! OK, well, staying at Londolozi costs a bit more than the average lodge (well,,, maybe a lot more,,,) but if you have the means, it is definitely worth the investment! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the game was magnificent (see photos,,,)

From our arrival in a game land rover from the landing strip to find the camp manager waiting with hot towels and champagne to leaving four nights later, we were treated to an experience like no other. Our room was spectacular with a fabulous view of the game reserve. Even the mosquito nets were works of art. We never got around to using our own private jacuzzi. The staff at Londolozi are what make it really special. Melvyn and Milton, our ranger and tracker for two drives a day, were charming, funny, intelligent and amazing at finding game. When we left we missed them for two days. Marc Bland, great nephew of the famous cricketer Colin Bland, was a wonderful host, organising a wine tasting in the bush on our return one night as well as many other treats. I cannot recommend Londolozi highly enough, it is a special place.

Room Tip: Tree Camp is the quietest of the camps, Varty is the heart of Londolozi,

Thank you Marc, James, Robert, Tresta and everyone else at Londolozi Tree Camp for making the start of our African adventure and honeymoon so amazing.

From the moment we arrived at Londolozi we felt at home. The camp exudes a perfect balance of luxury and comfort with a complete lack of pretension and a genuine sense of relaxation. This is evident in the furnishings, the food, the transport and the people - everyone is so friendly and kind. The main room is beautiful - straight out of the pages of Vogue, but you know you can sit on the couch (you could even put your feet up if you wanted to!)

But the main reason you go to Londolozi is for the animals and this was the highlight for us. Within five minutes of landing at the airstrip we were up close and personal with a stunning leopard, who sat down in front of our car and bathed herself before setting off hunting. We saw another two leopards mating that evening. In all, we saw 5 leopards in our 2 days there as well as countless other beautiful animals - waking up to and then finding a lion contact calling to his brothers, an elephant sauntering right past the car, a den of hyena cubs of all ages, a mother rhino and her baby, a herd of buffalo grazing all around us, and even a leopard interrupting our sun downers!

With the benefit of hindsight I was so pleased we went to Londolozi at the beginning of our trip. Initially I had wanted to save the best for last, but as it happened, we had the best possible introduction to Africa and then the pressure was off. Everything we saw after Londolozi just felt like a bonus. We had three other 5-star safaris during our trip and while all were enjoyable, none came close to the complete package that is Londolozi.

As the plane took off I couldn't hold back the tears. There's just something about Londolozi. It's a truly special place and now holds a permanent place in our hearts. We will be back.

Hilary & Stephen

We ditto the review posted on 9/4/12 by cmhrtb concerning Tree Camp, its staff and Tom and Jerry. This review sums up everything perfectly. We also had Tom and Jerry as our ranger and tracker and we also feel they made all the difference in our experience. They are enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable and took us over every area of Londolozi. Marc planned a special six course dinner with wine pairings on our last evening. What a treat! The food was unbelievable and presented as well as any we've experienced at five star restaurants in the U.S. You won't regret choosing Londolozi!

Where do we even begin to describe our outstanding stay at Londolozi Tree Camp? We spent the beginning of our honeymoon at Londolozi Tree Camp and had the time of our lives. Everything was perfect and it was truly the trip of a lifetime. The staff at Tree Camp, Marc, Jess, Robert and our ranger and tracker, Tom and Jerry were all fabulous. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with smiles and warmth. Everyone knew our name, congratulated us on our marriage and honeymoon and were extremely personal. Marc, Jess and Robert were absolutely amazing and very friendly. It was very special because by the time it was time to leave, we truly felt like we were friends with each of them.

The accommodations were beautiful and extremely comfortable. The food was amazing and we enjoyed it so much that we left with several recipes and begging the staff to put out a cookbook. Our game drives were incredible. Tom and Jerry are an incredible team and their enthusiasm for their jobs was unparalleled. Without Tom and Jerry's expertise our safari experience would have have been what it was. Tom and Jerry's close relationship with each other and with the animals was amazing to watch. Every game drive brought an exciting experience and their unbelievable tracking skills led us to all of the animals and witnessing incredible experiences. Tom and Jerry are wonderful and caring people. Their positive attitude, love for the bush was contagious. They were always checking in with us during the game drives to make sure we were comfortable. We felt very lucky to be matched up such an amazing team. The various activities that they organized at night, from the wine pairings to cocktails and star gazing in the bush were exceptional. They really think of everything and the experience at Londolozi is relaxing, entertaining and a wonderful learning experience.

Londolozi is a remarkable place and truly feels like home. The staff takes great care of making sure every guest has the trip of a lifetime and makes sure every experience is the best it can be. This safari experience at Londolozi was like nothing else we have ever done and exceeded every expectation.

Tree Lodge at Londolozi is a beautiful, extremely expensive, and luxurious facility set in an amazing area. The game viewing is excellent - not only the justly famous Londolozi leopards, but also a range of other game large and small. The rooms offer every comfort and even individual (although unheated) plunge pools. The staff is attentive and works hard to make sure that you are pleased. Some of the rangers/trackers are excellent. The price makes it hard to call this a good "value", but it is a very good way to see an amazing area.

After our 2 nights in Royal Livingstone, we flew to Kruger Game Reserve. We stayed at Londolozi Tree Camp for 5 nights. Our lodge comes with balcony and a small Jacuzzi ( all to yourself) the room, living room and the bathroom over looking the fantastic view of the nature. Breakfast plenty to eat. Your guide will wake you up by 6am and brings you coffee and some cookies before your morning game drive. You will meet the driver by 6.30. The game drive be over by 10am if nothing you see along the way. Return to the lodge you will have breakfast or early lunch and rest till about 4pm. You will go for your evening game drive and return around 6.30 or 7pm. Dinner will be serve buffet style if the lodge is full house (Boma dinner). If the lodge is not full, than you will have candle light dinner outdoor. On our last night at the lodge, left only me and my husband. The staff did a great job! When we came back from our evening game drive, our room was set up for our romantic dinner and the bathroom full of candles and rose petals. We see many Leopards along the way, elephants, Hippos and more... We had a great time, what makes it even better our driver and guide are excellent and experience! Will we return to Londolozi?? The answer is yes, it's 1st class service!!

Room Tip: Londolozi has only 6 rooms, so no worries all rooms are the same.
