We found this place quite by mistake. We didn't even know there were cabins on the river when we pulled into town. We stopped at the Tourist Bureau and they gave us a map with some ads and we called a few and decided to tour three properties before deciding on this one. We stayed in the Sherwood Castle and luckily I took some pix. It was newly remodeled and had a nice big jacuzzi tub which we needed desperately after several days on the road; just roadtripping. We cooked a nice dinnero on the back porch on a brand new state of the art grill and enjoyed the big oversized, obviously local timber rocking chairs. The bed was comfy and this place was CLEEEan! There wasn't a lot of spots to store our gear but the place was roomy enough not to matter much. The deer were all over the property and there were bears in the local dumpster overnight. It was August but cool and wet and lovely. We took a nice walk down to the river. It was great. Of course there's no restaurant or store conveniently nearby but we went to the grocery store and made use of the refrigerator, stove, oven and grill. What a lovely evening we spent. It was a little pricey, but we were ready for a relaxing splurge.
