“Fantastic Food!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

My wife and I visited Landlocked on a Thursday night during our vacation for our 15th anniversary. Absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was very relaxing and the service was excellent, courteous and very helpful. For an appetizer we tried the spinach artichoke dip and it turned out to be the best they we've ever had. For our entrée my wife had the Pad Thai and I had a pasta dish (I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the dish) that had shrimp, chicken and prosciutto ham, both of our entrées were fantastic, for dessert we shared the Tres Leche cake, only because everything else was so good and we overheard couples at tables around us complimenting the desserts, it too did not disappoint. When I received the check I couldn't believe how little the bill was, we've eaten at some higher priced restaurants that the food wasn't near as good as Landlocked. We plan to visit the restaurant again during our next visit to the Ruidoso area and highly recommend it.

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2012

We had Tuna and Chicken Fried Steak. Neither was very good. No baked potatoes, french fries instead and a large heap of squash. Just not tasty.

“Great Seafood in Ruidoso!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2012

We ate here for our 15th anniversary and were delightfully surprised! We couldn't believe we found wonderful seafood in New Mexico! My husband had the red chile salmon and it was amazing! I had the blackened tilapia which was also delicious. We will be back on our next visit.

“Terrible Fish and Chips”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2012

A group of us who had eaten at the old location previously, gave the new restaurant a try. Several of us ordered the fish and chips and the verdict was unanimous ... soggy and unappetizing. Other dishes apparently did not please remainder of the table. None of us will be making a return trip.

“Food and service have gone downhill”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 22, 2012

There is one excellent wait person there whom we know. But it seems that every other member of the waitstaff is a clueless teenager. The Pad Thai is the only vegan item left on the menu, and it tastes terrible - it tastes nothing like that wonderful piquant thai dish which one expects. When it was The Rickshaw, the Pad Thai was equally bad. They've gotten rid of the Hungry Vegetarian salad; the vegetarian pickings are slim. Also, the atmosphere, now that they've moved, just isn't as good as the old place. We've been avoiding this place as there are some wonderful new restaurants in Ruidoso that are so much better than this place. We are sad that the old Landlocked is gone; we used to love it.
