“I love this cafe and bakery!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2012

This is our second trip to the Cornerstone Bakery. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, but they serve breakfast the whole time they are open. Everything that we have tried has been awesome. This time we were there at lunchtime and I had the chicken salad sandwich with a side salad and my husband had the biscuits and gravy with sausage. He thoroughly enjoyed his favorite morning meal and I loved my sandwich! The chicken salad was freshly made with almonds and dried cranberries on a perfect croissant. Last time I had the french toast which is one of their specialties and it was equally delicious. We packed up on baked goods to go since we live 250 miles away and don't get to enjoy this restaurant as much as we would like to. Also if you are a coffee lover they have a serve yourself coffee bar. This is a place not to be missed if you are in Ruidoso! It is a small place and sometimes seating is limited, but it is worth the wait!!!

“Great Breakfast & Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2012

This small cafe is welcoming. Christine, our waitress was friendly and very attentive. A friend recommended the piñon coffee, after a couple of cups we bought a bag. The Alamogordo omelet was excellent! This meal was served with homemade sourdough toast and red potatoes...yummy! I had the silver city sauté and it was delicious! The servings are generous and tasty. We will be going back!

“Pricey”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2012

Liked the pinon flavored coffee (had 3 cups). I had a green chili omelet with squared potatoes and a pancake. The omelet was pretty good, the potatoes were so-so and the pancakes were tasty with several syrups/sauces but not as good as the blueberry pancakes at Penas Place up the hill. My husband had two eggs over medium (which were cooked perfectly) potatoes and banana, pecan pancakes. We liked the food here but it cost $40.00 for our meal which I thought was a lot! A lot more food options here than at other places in town especially for vegetarians.

“Contrast with Blue Goose for Lunches”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2012

On a recent trip, we had lunch at both the Blue Goose and Cornerstone. Both are excellent choices, but there are a couple of differences that should be considered when you make your choice. First off, Cornerstone has probably 75% more indoor seating than the Goose. However, the Goose has a lot of outside sitting, while Cornerstone has none. I'd also have to give the over all ambiance to Cornerstone. The major difference is the size of the servings... For about the same price, you get much larger portions at the Goose. Both of us had food left after reaching the full mark at the Goose, but the plates were clean at Cornerstone. That's not to say you are going to go away hungry at Cornerstone, it just shows how big the portions are at the Goose.

We will continue to eat at both, they are both great!

Everything is good...very good. The chocolate cherry puff pastry goodies are the best! Spinach salad and green chile soup are yummy too.
