“Best pancakes ever!”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast! Service was great and it was very busy! Coffee was great as well, but the pancakes were the best I have ever eaten! Loved it!

“Get there early or late”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

This restaurant gets packed for breakfast. I recommend skipping peak breakfast times as there will be a long wait. When you get in you will not be disappointed. Ate there twice on vacation and the food is excellent. A great way to start the day.

“THE place for breakfast”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

On our last stay at Ruidoso, we craved an old-fashioned breakfast to start the day. We drove up through the main shopping strip and found only a few small restaurants serving breakfast, and we didn't see any of the chain brands. We discovered the Log Cabin nestled just off the street in a pine-tree setting. Limited parking in front of the restaurant, but you can park amid the trees - tie up your 300-horses to a tree! Inside you'll find some artwork, and a few grand mounted specimens from local hunters. It's a real country cabin atmosphere.

The restaurant is warmly inviting, with table seating. The waitress was prompt and served a good pot of coffee. The menu has lots of featured items, or you can create your own. I enjoyed a two-egg breakfast with turkey bacon, hash browns and toast. The wife ordered two eggs with a freshly made biscuit and country gravy. Both meals were just what we were looking for, and the food was tasty.

If you're looking for a great country home-cooked breakfast, try the Log Cabin.

“A busy place so must be good”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

Just before the post office on the right going north out of Ruidoso. The log building is just out of sight because of the hillside. Plenty of parking on a level dirt lot so entry is easy. The hostess was out sick this day so the humorous busgirl did the seating and checkout. We arrived at10:50am but was still able to order breakfast. This place was packed but the food and service is good and reasonably fast. At first I thought the menu was a little pricey but when you see how much you get you won't complain. I had the pork chop and eggs w/ hash browns ; you also get a choice of grits, biscuit & gravy or toast. I had the toast of which there is 4 types to choose from. My wife had an omelet with feta cheese and spinach w/ hash-browns and the biscuit & gravy' needless to say I helped her eat the delicious omelet, but she ate the biscuit and & gravy saying it was too good for me. Real home-style cooking in a folksy atmosphere just be patient as this place is popular. we will definatly eat here again.
