You mainly drive through Mescalero, and the mission is the most outstanding place of interest. Definitely worth stopping to see and photograph.

The Inn of the Mountain Gods is very nice. We played some slots at the casino, enjoyed walking around Mescalero Lake and eating at the Buffet of the Nations. The Mountain Gods convention center was nice as well. We saw the 70's rock-n-roll group Kansas concert.
