We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute of it! The safari trips were great, the food was great, and our cabin was everything we could hope for! Going in early September was perfect. They hadn't received their summer rains yet so there was no bugs and the vegetation hadn't greened up so it was easier to spot game. There was a pond a few yards away we could see game most of the time.
Our typical day consisted of getting up at 5:00 - 6:00 and heading out with our ranger, Jason, and tracker, Frank, in a Land Cruiser. To make sure we were comfortable, everyone received a blanket and hot water bottle! Due to the constant contact between the lodges, we were always able to see game. About midway through our drive, w'e stop for a morning break with coffee, tea, and various pastries. We would get back to the lodge around 9:00 at which time we'd have a full breakfast consisting of a fruit, cereal, and pastry buffet along with eggs and meats prepared to our liking.
After this, we'd go on an hour walk with our ranger and tracker. We would then have a break for a couple of hours before lunch was served! Again, around 5:00 P.M., we'd head out in the Land Cruiser for our evening drive, stopping in the middle for a snack and drink of your choice (mine was red wine)! On getting back, we'd finish up with dinner, where we would sit at table's arranged in a half-circle with a roaring fire in the middle, finishing up with African dancing and singing presented by the staff.
One of the best things was that the animals are used to the vehicles so we were able to do such things as follow a leopard through the bush as it stocked its prey!
