nottens was the epitomy of luxury in the wild, from hot water bottles on clod morning game drives to romantic candle lit rooms with the edginess of a possible wile animal outside your door. the staff was great and the food was lovely. i would have loved to stay longer than a night but i can say that its an ideal getaway from the hustle bustle of city life.

We spent 4 nights at Notten's. This was our first safari so we can't compare it to anything else but we had a great time at Notten's.

The staff were incredibly attentive and provided great service. Dave and Dale's hospitality was authentic and the very best. One of them was always with us at dinner to entertain us with stories of living in the bush and to help break the ice between all the guests at camp. Get a seat at dinner near Dave or Dale if you can.

The room was spacious, stylish and clean. The food was delicious, varied and very plentiful.

We had several good game drives and saw "the big 5" on the first day and a half at camp. As mentioned by another reviewer, even though the camp seemed to be at full capacity, the vehicles were never crammed. We always had a row of seats to ourselves.

Highly recommended.

Room tip: i *think* we were in room 3 which was conveniently close to the main lodge with a great view of the watering hole.

Wow, what a great place! The Kruger Park was the first part of our recent honeymoon and after a couple days of self-driving the park, my bride and I spent 2 nights at Notten’s.

What a great experience from start to finish. You cannot say enough about the family run lodge that has been deliberately kept small so they can provide their guests the best experience the owners feel they should have. From the minute we got there, it felt like we were visiting old friends.

The service and hospitality was top notch yet very relaxed. The game drives were incredible and the guides as knowledgeable as anyone could ever ask for. The game viewing is incredible with the highlights including being charged by elephants, following a leopard to it previously killed python and watching it eat, as well as following some wild dogs on the hunt. All very rare experiences that we got to see in just a couple of drives.

The accommodations were super comfortable and very private. Loved the outdoor shower!. The food was absolutely outstanding and more than anyone could ever ask for. Great drinks and great local wines made the experience even more memorable.

Thank you Dave and Dale and all your support staff for making the experience just as outstanding as could be.

We spent six nights here and the experience was fantastic.

Dale and Dave run the family business together with a local staff who are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. From the moment you are woken in the morning to the moment you fall asleep at night, everything is taken care of - amazing game drives, wonderful food, lovely people - the whole experience is impeccable.

I don't like returning to the same time twice as there are so many places in the world, however this place may well be an exception.

We spent four nights at the beginning of June 2013 at Notten's Bush Camp. We had a splendid time. It is a very charming camp with fantastic people there who care for you in a great way. It gives you a very authentic bush feeling though you are being spoiled by excellent food, very nice rooms, highly knowledgeable guides and trackers. And last but not least: wildlife is exceptional in the Sabi Sand Reserve. Big five and more up close and personal; we had the luck to see a wilddog hunt. Definitely a brilliant place to go!
