We spent two nights at Londolozi. The cuisine was exceptional. After breakfast we wondered if we could eat anything more for the rest of the day. We asked about mealie meal, a type of corn meal porridge and the next evening it was on the menu. During the two days, we saw rhino, lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebra, water buffalo, wildebeest, impala, kudu and (easily identified over 20 species of birds which was not the major focus of the safari). Our guide Richard and tracker Bennett were outstanding with great funds of knowledge. (We were treated to a review of the major constellations while waiting for a lion pride to wake up at dusk.) It is expensive but well worth the expenditure.

Room Tip: Be sure to read about the different types of rooms as they target different audiences: families, couples etc.

My husband and I stayed at Londolozi at the end of May for 3 nights. We stayed in tree camp (room 4) and from beginning to end the whole experience was wonderful. The lodge itself was very well appointed with every need catered for. The staff were very friendly and personable, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the game drives were absolutely AMAZING!. We saw so much in 6 game drives that I don't think we could ever beat it. Special thanks to Byron, Judas and Jess for making it informative and very enjoyable. We have had lots of great holidays and this ranks up there with the best!!

Our whole family raved about our stay at Founders Camp.
The rangers Mark and Byron were so exceptional, so professional yet so friendly with great personalities.
Our grandson kept pestering Mark to find him lions, which Mark obliged!
The food was outstanding, the accommodation beautiful, the yoga stimulating, and the staff so terrific.
I highly recommend anyone stay here.
Can't wait to return.
Thanks to all who made our trip so memorable

Londolozi is an outstanding choice if you are interested in an intimate safari and cultural experience that enjoys having the largest owned tract of land in this private reserve area within Kruger National Park.
Being a photography enthusiast this Sabi Sands Game Reserve, uniquely offered us the option of our own Range Rover for our entire four day stay( an addition sum) that proved to provide a very personal and priceless experience and allowed us," a once in a lifetime" photographic opportunity. However, if you prefer to not pay additionally, you may join other guests on game drives for a maximum capacity of 8 guests. .
We went on two game drives each day lasting atleast 3action packed ,time flying hours . One pre-sunrise which in the winter is about 6:30 AM as the animals are most active then and the lighting as the sun rises is spectacular as well. Same is true for the afternoon 3:00PM through about 6:30 PM sunset drive.
We were guided by a Ranger named Jessica, whose love and knowledge of animals, nature, and photography was matched only by her excitement, daring and enthusiasm ! She was joined by a Tracker named Jeff who was taught his incredible tracking skills by his father having grown up in this very area. They complemented each bother so well, that in a few outings we were able to not only see the big five but their cubs and offspring as well. Admittedly, in part an unusual beginners luck likely result.

Now I will talk about what was secondary to me, the amenities and food.

As for the rooms, we stayed in Varty Camp, suite 8.This suite is part of a total of only 32 suites. The room and bath were both very attractive and comfortable. There is a not heated plunge pool therefore used in the summer months primarily, as well as a fully stocked refrigerator with drinks of all sorts, that is part of the all inclusive rate paid. The real treat was standing on your private deck watching elephants graze and moneys prance around below.

The cultural experience is yet another feature that stands out when you consider where to stay and spend your hard earned money.
Londolozi ,having a maximum guest capacity of 64 at full occupancy is served by a staff of 250 !
The staff are Shangaan tribe members and their families that live alongside this Camp. Visiting their village, you soon realize that your stay supports this entire community, their culture and well being, proving schooling, medical and the vital services to it's inhabitants.
How cool is that !!!
The food - The food was very tasty, more than ample, prepared and served well, either on a deck with a spectacular view for breakfast and lunch, or in the evening in a fire pit heated adjoining the deck attractive area. All food is offered buffet style so seconds and more if you so choose are readily, available, as are drinks wine, soft drinks ,etc.
All in all, the staff, location and offerings make this a place you will surely remember and miss.

Room Tip: I was assisted by the outstanding and responsive services of Anja Naude of: go2africa.com who made all the arrangements for all our stops here as well as in Botswana ,and Zambia. There is a lot logistics involved making a good agent and local agency essential.

I planned our South Africa trip a year in advance, as it was my big 50. Safari has long been a dream and Londolozi helped to bring that dream to life. As other reviewers have commented the staff are exceptional, we arrived late for our evening drive but they waited for us. We were very lucky to have Byron & Judas as our guides and we spent 4 fabulous days at Founders Camp and managed to see the big five. We feel privileged to see the lioness with her cub that was only a few days old as well as the cheetah with her two cubs who we followed in the rain, it's good to know from more recent reviews that they are all thriving. Our chalet was beautifully appointed and romantic, the food was wonderful and the ambiance was lovely. A special surprise was to see the baby baboons taking a dip in our plunge pool :). The daily laundry was a blessing as we had already spent a few days in Botswana. The picnic on our last day was a wonderful surprise it was a shame we had to leave early. The only thing I would change the next time is to take the light aircraft from Kruger and maximise the time at camp. Thank you all so much for the wonderful memories which we still treasure.

Room Tip: I don't think there is such a thing as a bad room here but the chalets at Founders Camp are beautiful
