“Fantastic!”
Reviewed January 12, 2012

We had a wonderful time. We met the owners, Courtney an Sydney, and they are fantastic host. Really wonderful people. We stay there every time we come to Red River and the hotel gets better every year. The new room designs are beautiful, the TV's are huge, all HD, with more channels than I have ever come across in a hotel. The location is right on the river next to the lift house for the mountain. Don't be surprised if you show up and and find the owners and staff grilling or bbqueing dinner for the guests and their friends around town. What a fun place to stay!

Room Tip: If you eat at Capo's mention that you are staying at the hotel to get discount on your meal.

We made our reservations on line but when we arrived at 3:30pm or 4:00pm there was no room ready. We had to go hang out at a bar for 1hr and a 1/2. The hotel was virtually empty. Rooms were spacious, T.V was huge but didn't work very well we had to re-boot it 10+ times in our two day visit. Our room was never made up after our first nights stay. Coffee and breakfast were never made in the morning even though that was included in the price. Could be a decent hotel with a better Manager. They might consider just closing down during the week instead of treating guests the way they do when they are slow. We will try a different Hotel on our next trip.

We just got back from a weekend in Red River and stayed at this BW. The rooms were nicely decorated and spacious. The tv was huge and the beds were comfy. It's a great location right near the slopes and a couple bars and good places to eat. The breakfast was also very good, we had the waffles. Oh and the hot tub was nice after a day of playing in the snow! Will def be returning to Red River to stay here!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Our bed was very comfortable. The room was certainly large enough. The great thing about this hotel is that it sits along the river and has an outdoor fire pit where guests gather in the evening to talk. The hotel also offers a complimentary breakfast with waffles and eggs cooked to order by Mark. Mark was most accomodating and a delight to talk with. Check in and out was very speedy and the young lady who checked us in was most helpful in recommending restaurants. We would definately stay here again!

Room Tip: Request a river side room.

This hotel is well run and has a very qualified and helpful staff. The rooms are large and have all the ammenaties one would want in a medium priced hotel. The beds are very comfortable as well as the pillows. The hotel is kept up to excellent standards and the owner, Courtney Henderson is on property to oversee day to day operations. No matter if you are staying one night or five, you will enjoy this hotel. It is located along the river front and at night they alway have a fire along the river with chairs so you can enjoy the night's cool air. And for breakfast they have the best waffles you could want along with eggs cooked to order. We have stayed in Red River for years and found this place three years ago. We will always come back here any time we are coming to Red River.

Room Tip: Second floor have less guest movement noise in the early morning hours. Rooms along the river are G...

As a senior citizen, I always request a first floor room but was not given one on my visit to River's Edge. The stairs are very challenging and there is not other way to access the second floor. The room was well appointed and clean and the staff was friendly and appeared to care that visitors are pleased with their accommodations. Even in the off season, the prices are somewhat higher than one would expect especially considering that few people were traveling in October. My only real complaint was with the air conditioning unit as it did little to cool the room and there was no screen on the window so leaving it completly open was not an option.
Pets are allowed and the location is right on the river. All in all, it is a nice place to stay in Red River but a first floor room for senior citizens is a must!

Room Tip: If you are a senior citizen get it in writing that you will get a first floor room as the stairs are...

We came to RR in November of '07 on our honeymoon. We were tight on money, but that didn't stop us from staying in a great place! We arrived pretty late, but had no problem getting the keys from the night manager. We woke up the next morning to have them COOKING breakfast for the few guest that were there. No cold continental breakfast there, only warm eggs, toast, coffee & pancakes!
Our room backed up to the slope & the river with a great deck to sit out on. Used the gas grill to cook out on then slipped into the hot tub when the temps dropped back down into the 20's. Everything was super clean & neat, ready for us. The beds were soooooooooo comfy!
For the price (was almost the cheapest, but the hot tub was a real plus!) i think it had to be the best place to stay. They really care about their customers here!

Room Tip: Def. go with slope/ river side.
