“Great Place to Stay in Red River!”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

We rented their stand alone 2 bedroom cabin on our recent 4 day weekend in Red River. Such a beautiful location close to the mountains and river. Excellent and very friendly customer service. The cabin was super roomy, very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend!

I stayed two nights. The room was very comfortable, but if you don't specify a lower floor, be prepared to climb some steep steps. You definitely get your exercise. The people are very friendly that run it and very helpful.

Room Tip: Make sure to request a room with a balcony facing the west and south sides. Better views that way.

OK we are not usually "review" type people and, to be honest, are more apt to complain and dwell on the negative than we are to praise a business. Having said this, we absolutely loved this place, the people, the property, our cabin, the hot tubs, the campfire, etc. Everything they do is top notch and you can tell everyone that works there loves what they do and they care for their guests. We really liked the history behind the lodge and that the owners are proud of this heritage. It made for a unique and very memorable stay, one which we will always cherish and try to duplicate more often in the future! Oh also I forgot to mention that the scenic chair lift is right at the lodge and a must do when in Red River.

Room Tip: Rooms on the east side have views of the scenic chair lift.

The "cabin" in which we stayed was a nicer version of a motel 6. The cabin is more of a small apartment in a building which is house 6 other "cabins."

The space was decent as we felt that we had more than enough room for a family of three in a two bedroom "cabin."

The thing that makes this place worth it is the scenery at your front door. That is worth the numerous rules and mediocre accommodations.

Spent the weekend at Alpine Lodge and had a very nice time. The rooms are very clean and the staff was very nice. It is on a beautiful piece of property right on the Red River. The only reason I don't give it a 5 rating is because of the check-in time of 3:00 and check-out time of 10:00. 10:00 is so early and there is no chance of late check out. Also the "quiet time" from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am. Most people that are on vacation or on a weekend getaway aren't in bed by 8:00 pm. That was a bit annoying. Overall it is a nice place and we would probably stay there again.

The lodge was great. Its quiet, peaceful, in a great location and the service there is wonderful. We stayed in room 20. It had two comfortable queen size beds, a wood burning stove, flat screen TV, there was a door between the bedroom and the kitchen which was nice for the late sleepers. The kitchen had a full size frig, a four burner stove and ample dishes. There was also a variety sink area between the kitchen/restroom which made it easier for four people to get ready at the same time.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms have amazing rooms - regardless for which direction it faces.

Everything at this place was picture perfect. The property is in town but you feel as though you are surrounded by mountains and trees everywhere you look. We were met in the lobby by an extremely nice young lady who made us immediately feel very welcomed. They had music, a water fountain and a fire going so our 1st impressions were off the chart and really set the tone for our stay. Our room was on the third floor of what must have been the main ski lodge when it was first built. Our room could not have been more comfortable and the views were amazing. At night a fire is lit by the river which added a ton of atmosphere to the whole place! We loved it. We will be back in the fall for the foliage. Can't wait!

Room Tip: Third floor rooms offer the best views of the mountains but there is no elevator.
