Nice folks and place, but with no AC and even with three windows which were open all day and night, there was no breeze to bring that 60 degree outside air into the room and no ceiling fans to help keep air moving.
Layout of room wasn't great. Entry to kitchenette with table and four chairs and bathroom. Step down to two queen beds and TV.
Grounds are beautiful with stream running through and fire pit nice touch at night. Cool outside, just not enough for Texans trying to keep cool.
We didn't make reservations and were happy to get a room when we got there, but price was high about $200 with taxes.
It's hot in Texas and we just wanted a long weekend away. It was our fault for not doing more research before we went. We decided to go and a couple of days later we left. Had no idea taht Red River had two high seasons.
All employees were exemplary.More
